Yes, there is a plastic faucet on the brass T. Because the plastic isn't holding up, I went to a hardware store and bought a brass faucet that is safe to use with drinking water.
Is it possible to swap out the plastic faucet for a brass one?
It appears to be very similar. When I compared the two pages side by side, the only difference I noticed was the difference in weight and size dimension. Is there a distinction at all? I'm almost certain that this item does not measure 1" x 1" x 1" as described in the 22463 item description. lol. However, I seriously doubt that there is much of a difference. They are both used for the same thing.
Similar to a garden hose that you connect to outside spigots in your yard; buy one at WM and return it if it doesn't fit. I believe it will, however, work.

It is a really simple system - A very easy way of adding a hose bibb outside my camper, but after building the follow through the brass T fitting became standard, so I suggest Always carry the same style brass T fit available.
Then I went out and purchased one for my sister's camper. I don't own a camper at all! I intend to purchase a second one as a gift for a friend who owns a camper. When you need to wash your hands after emptying the grey/black tanks, this is a great solution.
This is a useful device to use with our Coleman pop-up tent. Camper, get up. We can rinse swimsuits while also filling our camper's sink. However, because it's made of plastic, don't overtighten it or treat it like a metal faucet to prolong its life. Remember to connect the water pressure control device to the park's spigot to reduce pressure on your hose and faucet gaskets (available on Amazon and other websites). I don't expect this less expensive plastic faucet to last as long as a metal faucet, but it is lighter, putting less strain on the city water connection on the camper's exterior wall. Replacing that hose connection after years of supporting the weight of a metal faucet as well as the attached hose must be a costly repair! It is highly recommended.
Before the O-, we camped for about three weeks. The ring came loose from the valve and began to leak. To complete our trip, I had to purchase a new one for $25 from an RV store. An O- appears to be the case. There's no way to fix the ring because it's glued to the valve. To replace the plastic faucet, I went to Lowe's today and purchased a brass faucet. I'll be able to simply replace the washer if it starts to leak. This valve is labeled "potable water safe. ".
I bought five (5) of these faucets (from Amazon) because I already had one that I use on a Travel Trailer and it works great, even though I replaced it with a non-corrosive faucet. One made of plastic. I needed more for around the house and to give to two TT-affected friends who go camping and fishing with me. br>I gave the faucets four stars because of the following: (1) The parts are manufactured in China and the United States; however, it is unclear whether the Faucet or the T-handle is made in China or the United States. They're made in China, with the plastic faucet being the most likely. (2) The Faucet is installed in the incorrect orientation. (This is fine if you want to use the faucet as a drinking fountain) Otherwise, turn the faucet 180 degrees counterclockwise (there aren't enough threads to turn clockwise) so that the faucet points down. Because this sometimes loosens the faucet, I had to remove it completely and wrap the threads in Teflon tape before tightening until the faucet was pointing downwards. In fact, the concept receives five stars, and the Amazon price is unbeatable. They're usually sold for ten dollars or less in most places. 25% more.
While you're connected, it's a simple and quick way to get water for other purposes. Taking a shower outside or going inside to get water isn't always practical. Also, because there is usually only one faucet at the hookup, this allows you to fill a container without having to remove the hose.
BADLYneeds to be reinforced by whoever makes this item. Although the brass portion of this water faucet is well-made, the plastic portion is prone to breakage. The area immediately above the plastic six-sided nut on top and the spicket handle needs to be reinforced BADLY by whoever makes this item. It has a high risk of breaking. Made for a very low price. A full brass item is highly recommended.
This faucet is well-made and performs admirably. It's nice to be able to leave it on while the RV is being moved; having to attach and detach the hose every time we moved was a pain. That is no longer necessary.
