I haven't replaced all of my light fixtures in quite some time. I think I gently popped the plastic covers off with a butter knife!
Heat causes the majority of plastics to yellow. These are light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that produce less heat than halogen or incandescent bulbs. A plastics chemist can confirm whether or not these lenses will yellow.
nope
I can't measure because my RV is in storage. We, on the other hand, had no trouble using the existing holes. They appear to be commonplace, in my opinion.

Before purchasing these lights, I read several reviews. We converted an RV into a full-time residence for our daughter. She's OCD to the point of being CDO. Needless to say, everything had to be flawless, and these lights were simple to set up. My husband was able to take a break while she and I worked on the installation. They're lovely, and the lighting is bright and uniform. I'm so happy we chose the frosted covers! These are lights that I strongly recommend. We also bought the two light sets that went with it.
I had reservations about trying these, but I'm glad I did. To replace the high-energy-use bulbs in the Roadtrek RV, these bulbs were installed. Each of the original lights drew 18 watts! That's insane. These each draw 3 watts and are extremely bright. That's six lights turned on to match the energy consumption of one previous light. I like the frosted look and how easy it was to install. In a heartbeat, I would purchase again. One of the best "mods"/"upgrades" you can make.
LED lights that are bright and do not produce much heat. br>LEDs differ from incandescent bulbs in several ways. They tend to be brighter and use less energy. Much less heat is produced. They do, however, necessitate polarity that is specific. They do not work if they are wired incorrectly. If yours isn't working, try reversing the wires. br>The same goes for LED replacement bulbs for automobiles; if they don't work, reverse them.
Compared to standard 'yellow' bulbs, these are much brighter. That is precisely what I was looking for. I'm glad I listened to other people's advice and got the frosted lens. My bathroom light has a clear lens, which casts shadows all over the place. All of my dual lights have been replaced with this style of dual light. I would strongly suggest it. ***FYI*** Follow the installation instructions on the unit's bottom. Neutral is the black wire coming from the unit. It's a good match for RV's white wire. The power (black/yellow/colored) wire is connected to the red wire of the unit.
I bought these a while back and they seemed fine; I installed them in my new trailer kitchen and they seemed to work fine, but on one of my recent trips, I noticed they seemed dimmer, and when I bumped the counter, they brightened up again. I cleaned the contacts and applied dielectric grease, but after another trip, they continued to dim and brighten. I'll try tightening the contacts again, but if that doesn't work, I'll rip it out and replace it with something else.
This was a cost-effective replacement option. We ended up using these lights to replace all of the light fixtures in our RV, and we really like them. The lenses don't cast any shadows, they stay cool to the touch, and the daylight color light is ideal - There is no discernible difference in light color between the inside and outside - It's as if your computer has a new set of windows installed! I would strongly suggest it.
I've been in a dingy, dimly lit camper for far too long. Before buying these, I tried some LED bulbs and they were nothing like these. These are cheerful and enjoyable. I bought the frosted lenses after reading a few reviews about strange shadowing or lines, and I'm very happy with them.
These were simple to set up in our RV. We swapped out the old fixtures for these, and it's a huge improvement. However, one of the lights was broken. We already had some up and don't want to take them down just to send them back for a replacement pack. Don't know what to do about a single broken light bulb?.
