I responded, but I was referring to a different approach I had taken. These fit the RV track because it was the only track I could find; I doubt they would fit a larger track. To keep the rubber from slipping out, I crazy glued them into the fabric. On the ends, I used zip ties and clips, but they could easily have been screwed in. If you don't secure them at the ends, they will be blown away by strong winds. PS I used them to hang a sun screen on the front and sides of the patio. it was a success
The holder is made of fabric. Metal is used to create the hook. You might be able to replace the metal hooks with sturdy plastic ones from a craft or hardware store.
Depending on your needs, you can use different sizes, but 2 in is the most common.
Grey is the color of plastic. I'm not sure about the black ones. The grey ones are particularly impressive.

I use these to attach a sun screen to the awning and then stake the bottom of the awning to the ground in my Class C awning. They are very easy to slide into the awning's end slot. They're durable enough to withstand windy days when the awing and sun screen are yanked back and forth. I'm overjoyed because they provide a simple and less expensive alternative to the hundreds-of-dollar sun screens available on the market for our motorhome. Thank you for selling them to me. We'll buy them again (once they've worn out)!.
It's specifically made to fit your RV awning and is simple to install and remove. They're holding a Target outdoor set of lights for me, and they're great. I had a storm that appeared out of nowhere, and I had to quickly remove the lights and lightholders in order to roll in the awning as we were caught off guard by this unexpected thurderstorm. Because I could quickly retrieve these lightholders, I was able to complete the task in minutes. I noticed that other RV owners had to work a little harder to turn off their lights in order to roll in their awnings. That's when I realized I'd gotten a good deal on a product that would help me keep things simple.
It fits perfectly into the awning track, and now I can hang my goofy little lanterns on my awning so I can look at something other than the darkness while I get drunk in front of my RV.
These were purchased to hang solar-powered LED Edison lights on our trailer awning, and they worked perfectly. We were also able to easily hang solar-powered bug lights from them. I gave installation a 4 because we had to slightly open and close the awning for each one because my awning design only allows you to place one at a time, toggle the awning open, slide it over, toggle the awning closed to reveal the end of the track, and repeat. We repeat the process at the end of the trip to remove them all because we don't want to roll them up in the awning and leave permanent little dents where the clips are. They slide in easily and hold the lights in place exactly as advertised once installed.
Exactly what I needed, and they work like a charm! br>Recent changes: I've been full-time RVing with these for the past two years and they're still great!.
I bought these with the intention of using them to hang a 6x12 shade cloth tarp with grommets from a 1953 Airstream's canopy channel. Of course, they're marketed as "party light holders," so I'd be disappointed if they weren't suitable for canopies, but I think they'll work out fine. A 1/4" channel is found on 1953 Airstreams. There are two ends to this product, each with a different size insert. I've discovered that the larger end is just big enough to fit into a 1/4" channel. Of course, if it is to stay in, the size of the slot is more important than the size of the channel. It's a close call because I had one at the very end of the channel, and it came out because the channel was worn or flared at the end, allowing the product to ooze out. When it isn't given a chance to come out, however, it appears to be fine. br>br>I like them because they fit into the channel easily. I can put them in and move them around while standing because I am tall enough. The large end's diameter is approximately 7/32" and the small end's diameter is approximately 3/16". In my case, a fraction of an inch makes the difference between staying and slipping out. The rubber body between the ends is 3/32" thick, so it will fit in any slot that is that size or larger, which I'm sure every channel will have. br>br>I haven't had it long enough to know, but I suspect this isn't the product for something that will be left in the sun permanently. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like the kind of material that would survive in Central Texas; however, it will suffice for occasional weekend use.
I used these to hang a mesh sunshade tarp from our RV awning, and they were incredibly simple to put together! I purchased two packs to hang a 16' tarp from a 16' awning and ended up with four extra hooks. The hooks are large enough to hold an outdoor string of lights, and I believe the awning would roll up if the hooks were removed from the rubber holders without first removing the holders-- It's simple enough to accomplish. br>br>The rubber hook holders are equipped with bar-type hooks. Each end of the type is a different size, and each end can hold a hook. This allows you to pick the side of your awning channel that best suits your needs. You can leave your ribbon at one end of your awning (like we did) or hang it from the middle, but you'll have to figure out where you want it before sliding these into place because they use the same channel or groove as your awning's pull cord/ribbon. br>br>They're a lot more user-friendly than I anticipated. br>br>We made a cheap sunroom in front of our RV by clamping white poly tarps to the metal arms on each side of the awning, then hanging the sunshade tarp from these hooks. We added a matching RV mat, and we'll make a DIY skirt out of two heavy white shower curtain liners attached with velcro strips. It will keep things cooler this summer, and it will provide us with a cozy outdoor room to sit in and enjoy nature in the winter.
For my power awning, which has a 20' awning, I needed the smaller ferrules. The sun shade is securely attached to the reel with these. The only issue is that only seven are included in the package, which is insufficient for a long awning. As a result, I bought extras and now have a few spares. One will eventually break due to the sun or cold, but they are inexpensive to replace.
