A door latch that can be used on all kinds of doors is not exactly universal. Even after I had it working we still had to tinker with it quite a bit to get it to work. That's a terrible thing to do. You need the swing latch for the right or left side of the door. I assure you, you will regret this decision.
Buyer Please take note that the advertised product is not a direct replacement for the advertised item. We have increased the thickness, length, and width of our screen door product over the typical travel trailer door or motorhome door. Before purchasing this item, ensure that the dimensions of your existing piece are the same.
Exactly what we needed as a replacement. It would have been nice if it came with a set of new You should preserve the screws you used originally. We had to replace the screws that came with it once we installed it. The operator may be at fault for that.
I needed a replacement handle for my cracked screen door on my RV, and I found this. In the end, I decided not to use the included screws, but rather to use bolts through the door to make the fitting tighter.
No, this does NOT apply universally! Neither adjustable nor wide enough to fit into the available space because they are wider than the original. It is better to check out what you need at your local brick and mortar store! The word rarely comes out of my mouth.
The container is plastic and it has just been delivered to me. A description of the product indicates that it is zinc plated. My personal preference was for something that wasn't as flimsy as the stock model. I am disappointed.
Designed to screw directly onto the left or right side of any RV.
My existing latch and main door catch worked with it just fine, so I was able to get it to function as well as I could have hoped.
