I believe it will fit any RV because I have yet to see one with the hinges facing the front of the trailer. I also don't recall seeing an entry door on the trailer's 'drivers' side. This is due to the fact that if the door is not latched, the wind will keep it closed rather than open it. Car doors always open with the hinges to the front, just like that. for the same reason (with the exception of the old Lincoln suicide doors)
It comes with a spring inside the handle and is simple to set up.
There are three mounting holes as well.

This is the same product you'd get from an RV dealer, but for a third of the price. My buddy had a break on his camper and paid the local dealer 36 dollars for this Plastic part, but I got it here for under 10 dollars and it's exactly the same, Yes, they're all cheap plastic, but I figured I'd get it on here cheaper than paying dealer prices, and it only took me 10 minutes to install.
Always latch the screen door to the solid door first, then close the two doors together. The latch assembly will last a very long time if you use this method.
It resembles the original quite closely. I don't see how it's any different from the original quality for less than ten dollars versus the lippert latch for $25. The existing screws on the striker and lever holder on the outer door could be reused, but I had to drill new holes for the lever itself. There's no need to be concerned. Because the screws must be countersunk into the latch mechanism for clearance, you'll need to drill new holes in the screen door and use new screws. The supplied screws were slightly smaller than the originals, but the new latch has a third hole to compensate for this. I was stumped for a while trying to get the door to close without engaging the screen latch so that opening the outside door wouldn't be a tug of war. Your best friend is SILICONE SPRAY. It wouldn't close properly unless I sprayed the striker on the outside door, because the plastic isn't slick enough to engage the new screen door latch on the outer door when the screen door is already closed. To avoid the tug of war, you must adjust the outer door hook so that the screen door lever is pushed down far enough to clear the screen door latch from the door frame. Now that it's working properly, I'll keep a small silicone spray can in the camper from now on. Also applies to door hinges.
This screen door latch is identical to the one that came standard on our camper's screen door. This latch handle kit includes everything you'll need to replace a broken latch quickly and easily. It appears to be of the same quality as the original, despite the fact that the latches are plastic and only moderately durable. This is a simple and inexpensive fix. Just make certain you get the correct handle. Is it better to use your left or right hand?.
I tried this on my 2016 Jayco Redhawk and have a few issues. br>1 I couldn't re-enter the vehicle. br>2 I couldn't re-enter the vehicle. br>3 I couldn't re-enter the vehicle. br More holes will be drilled if any parts from the original latch are used. Not ideal, but I suppose that's to be expectedbr>2 The latch would not line up properly enough to work as it did before. The screen latch did not release as it should when the door was closed completely after installation, so the door would not open when fully closed. I eventually got it close enough that a strong pull would open the door, but this put a lot of strain on the latch hook, which was screwed to the door. br>3 Due to the issue described in 2, the latch hook that bolts to the door was far too narrow (not sturdy enough) and the latch spring was far too strong, preventing the latch from fully releasing when the door was closed. Others may fare better, but I am fairly handy, and this caused me a great deal of grief.
Change it out for my shattered handle. It took exactly one minute to complete. Our 2008 Rockwood Roo Camper was a perfect fit. Excellent craftsmanship. I believe it will serve me well for a long time, and I would recommend it.
This latch was a perfect fit for my aluminum screen door, and it came with all of the necessary screws and brackets, as well as being built to last. There was a feature included with the door that was not present on the original. I had to make a new hole because there is a third central hole. I didn't need to use a drill because the screws included with the new latch were sharp enough to cut into the aluminum screen door with just steady constant pressure. The additional screw aids in the support of the latch and the overall rigidity of the unit.
Replacement of the flimsy broken latch is a simple and cost-effective option. To make this replacement latch work, I didn't have to make any changes. We were all relieved to discover that this latch is far more durable than the factory-installed model. There is no wiggle in the screen door because it latches firmly. Everyone who has come to see us has remarked on how much better the new latch is.
