Can this be used on a 1998 Yamaha XL1200? What are their specifications? Are they original factory parts?

If you have a 1998 XL1200, then this fits. Verify the vin number in two places, as the last two digits correspond to the year for the 1200. The 1998 was the last year where it fit, then the hull changed. yes, these are specific factory replacement seats, they fold down under your rear bumper as they did in the originals.

I have a 1997 Wave Venture 1100, does this fit. It does not look like a Wave Venture from 1997 from the pictures. Would it be possible to have the rear pad in one ?

It has not been long since the new traction mats have been on skis so it is hard to tell how well they will hold up in the long run, but it will be interesting to see how they perform. Old pads weren't easy to get off, but the new blacktips went on smooth and fit perfectly after removal if they last at least 10 more years like the originals, I'll be delighted! There is only one reason I gave them 4 stars - I am not certain how long they will last. Aside from that, they are a "10"!.

I have a Yamaha XL700, and this plug fits perfectly. It is a pretty awesome design and the quality and appearance is really good. To get the old mats off, I used a roofing prybar and a small amount of This is over. I found the prybar to be a very convenient tool for the removal process. As for the new mats, they have great adhesive, so I don't have to worry about them coming off.

There is hardly any difference, so it is not a huge problem. I haven't seen anything that seems to be wrong with them. As far as I can tell, they are cut perfectly to match the rear mats that are sunken in, so I am This is a great alternative to originals, which are hard to find.
