Questions & Answers

Has anyone tried it when they're 6'1' and 300 pounds?

When my 34-year-old son, who stands 6'1" and weighs 260 pounds, used my RV for a weekend, he said it was very comfortable. Very good and sturdy, but not overly so.

Is it possible to return and get a refund for this mattress if it does not meet your expectations? The reviews are extremely perplexing - Is there a balance between firmness and suppleness?

That is a matter for Amazon or the seller to decide.

Is it true that the foam mattress contains fiberglass?

I'm not sure if there's any fiberglass inside the foam because it's covered by mattress fabric, but it's a comfortable mattress.

Is it true that shipping takes one to two months?

Mine arrived in two days; perhaps it was out of stock when you were looking?

This Firm Mattress has made me very happy
5/5

For the past eight nights, we have slept on this bed in our fifth wheel camper. It's fantastic! It was wrapped and compressed when it arrived. We were able to easily move to the bed while wrapped and unroll it to allow it to expand, and we left it for nearly 10 hours before adding weight. I was concerned about the memory foam in this bed. However, after reading the reviews and seeing how many people said it was firm, I decided to buy it. A firm bed is what my husband and I prefer. For both of us, this has been a huge help. We don't live in our camper full-time, but we do camp for weeks at a time. My husband weighs 300 pounds, while I weigh 150. I can't tell if he gets in and out of bed because I can't hear him. I am ecstatic. If anything changes, I will make a new post.

For the price, this is a great mattress! The mattress was purchased late in the RV season, but it was put to good use camping a few times before being stored for the winter
4/5

We had a good night's sleep on the mattress, which is clearly superior to the one that came with the RV when it was new. We rolled out on the bed after opening the box just outside the camper door, removing the mattress, and bringing it inside the RV. That went smoothly; the mattress did not have a bad odor from the beginning, and it sleeps well for us, as we are primarily side and back sleepers. In comparison to our home coil mattress, the mattress has a tendency to pull us toward the center, but this isn't a problem. It did not sleep hot at all, but we used it for camping in the fall. We're glad we went with this mattress instead of the previous one.

I did a lot of research
5/5

We chose the Serena 8 inch mattress after doing some research to replace our RV queen mattress. Other reviewers were extremely helpful and provided us with the necessary information to open the box and place everything in its proper place. Especially in the camper, I completely agree. Because of the curving, we were concerned that the 8 inch would be too high in the front of the camper, but other reviewers said there was little less than 8 inches fully settled. We went into the purchase with the expectation of a depth estimate. If the temperature rose too high, opening in place would help. IT IS ELEGANTLY COMFORTABLE! I'm not a fan of foam mattresses in general, but this one is fantastic. There isn't any odor, and there isn't any harm. This one was voted best of the best by a magazine, but I don't recall which one. We're thinking about replacing the foams in the kids' bunk beds with these as well, because they're the best quality for the best price.

The RV mattress is fantastic
5/5

I'm a substantial individual. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 270 pounds. I sleep in a Sleep Number bed at home, but I couldn't justify the expense for our travel trailer, which we use about 30 nights per year. The standard mattress felt like it was made of concrete and lasagna noodles. This one is fantastic! It's extremely comfortable, and unlike many memory foam mattresses, it doesn't sink in to my hips when I sleep on my side. I only wish I had received it earlier. It was shrinkwrapped in a tube and shipped in a long cardboard box. It was simple to transport and install, and once unrolled and out of the plastic, it expanded to full thickness in about 6 hours, with no odor after a day.

I really like the boxed mattress - it's so unique
5/5

Like the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Bears, a mattress is like a pair of shoes--one size does not fit all--but this one is very comfortable for me and my wife. firm as well- Whether it's soft or just right, you can't go wrong with either. This is the fourth time we've bought this mattress, and it's now in our fourth camper, a Cougar tow, Okanogan 9. The 0 truck camper is followed by the 10 truck camper. The Copper Canyon 5th wheel is based on the 11 Bigfoot truck camper. The multilayered design with different firmness layers appears to be the best for overall support and firmness, while the upper layer is soft enough that I don't wake up with hip or back pain; in fact, I sleep better in the camper than in my house bed. Some people complain about the smell of a new mattress; well, any polyurethane foam material will need to "breathe" for a few days to air out, just like any electronic device or new clothing we buy. We let the mattress breathe for a week without covering it or putting sheets on it, and I'm not even aware of it now. The cat proofed its tail and hissed at the mattress when we popped the plastic vacuum sealed bag and it began to puff up! LOL with tears in my eyes. When we upgrade to a class C, we will definitely purchase again.

It's not going to work
3/5

I'm not sure why, but I've only been on it for a month, full time, and my husband has a crator on his side, so I expected it to last longer after reading other reviews. He is 5' 9" tall and weighs 225 pounds, and he is not pleased with the crator. I'll get in touch with the seller. My own side has begun to sag. My height and weight are 5' 7" and 110 pounds, respectively. Aside from that, it's very comfortable and works well in the room.

It's a nice place to stay that is reasonably priced
5/5

We've been using it for two years of travel and it's been great. DO NOT BREAK THE BAG SEAL UNTIL YOU HAVE IT IN YOUR HAND AND ARE READY TO USE IT. It's vacuum packed, which makes it easier to move around inside the bag. After that, carefully cut the bag open and unroll it. Allow for a day for it to lay flat before using. Because it's thick enough, you won't feel the cold from unheated under-bed storage.

It's a good mattress, and it's a huge improvement over my previous one
4/5

In my camper, this took the place of my old RV mattress. I bought this mattress based on Amazon reviews and recommendations from a full-time RVer whose YouTube channel I watch. This mattress outperforms the original by a significant margin. It does allow me to sleep well and is very comfortable. It was simple to receive and load into my camper because of the way it was shipped. It's a good deal for the money, in my opinion. I don't believe it is the "ideal" mattress for me. Something firmer would most likely be beneficial to me. I'm a big guy with a lot of muscles. But I've been sleeping well on this mattress for a few months now, and I'm happy with it. I live in my RV full-time.
