Questions & Answers
It has brackets with hooks that can be inserted into. Make sure to include both brackets and ladder in your selection. Keeping the ladder hooks in place requires that the brackets be able to affix to the edge of the bunk. To make your ladder run as long or as short as you need, use a tubing cutter or hacksaw.
You will receive 2 brackets made of black hard plastic There was a damaged bracket in my box because I received it in damaged condition. After notifying the seller, new replacements were sent out the very next week.
It's not known whether or not the manufacturer sells them, but if you contact him, you might have a chance. Otherwise, you may want to check out Lowe's or Home Depot for something suitable.
The loft will be used for a kids' play area

There will be a discussion of those later on. There was no bowing or movement of the ladder as it held my 235 lbs without moving or bending. On the underside of the bottom rung the ladder has a sticker that notes its weight limit is 200 lbs, despite advertising a 300 lb ladder. *This was mentioned to me because I will need to use the ladder from time to time to make his bed, etc. */*My son found that the ladder could be hooked to the inside of the cabinet so that he can easily access the top shelf to obtain The discovery I just made will have me messaging RecPro asking about the true weight capacity of this system, as having access to stuff stored on top of those cabinets is very convenient! My foldable step ladder would have to be hauled out! There can be no more than one inch of thickness on the bunk side panels. In order for the ladder hook to fit securely over the side, it must be 25". It is a good thing that it fits my son's bunk perfectly, because the packaging was awful and one of the brackets was missing due to my son having nearly half of his box split A brand new bracket was delivered to me within one week of contacting the seller! It was unfortunately during this time that my son played in the 1st bracket and lost! RecPro would be able to tape the hardware to the side of the box so the hardware does not fall out. It would also be worth tapering all seams of the box shut so that it will not open so easily. The package was originally packed, but upon opening, the packing material was not present. The brackets were still in the box, and I highly doubt they were packing materials since the bracket would be much smaller than the My rating for packaging would be 1 star if I were asked, since no stars are not usually It is exactly what I wanted and needed in terms of a ladder. As you would expect, the ladder was 5 stars, except for packaging and mislabeled weight limit. The advantage of not having to pull a step ladder into the bunk room is that stuff off of cabinets can now be accessed without stepping on it.
The work will be done eventually, but it will take a little effort. This ladder is mounted on the roof of my Coleman 17b travel trailer to allow bunking. To remove the bottom step (2 screws) and 11 screws of the bottom step, I had to remove it too tall. A very easy way to make the aluminum shorter is to take off 5" of it. To make sure I didn't remove too much, I took off a little material at a time. It's time to slow down!.
When my granddaughter christened the ladder, it worked like a champ. Having zip-zipped straight up the ladder, she was able to find her hiding spot on the third floor. As she walked along the broad flat steps, her feet were easy to grasp. Approximately 60" long was the ladder I purchased. The ladder had to be cut off the bottom by about 8"+ in order to fit. It was a very good ladder for me all in all.
In the box there is an extra bracket. Sturdy but lightweight, this ladder can withstand many years of use. I had to trim the bottom a little bit to make it work with our RV bunk height (I took 7" off the bottom) and now it's perfect. It would be better if they made different heights for the later levels so you don't have to cut it down. It is still cute. We only received one bracket so the ladder is hooked over the edge of the bunk since there are no wall brackets. The connection is stable and it works well once it's plugged in.
Sturdy and light, it is also light in weight. With a tubing cutter, I removed and cut the bottom step of the ladder out of an old ladder that was too short. This is a very simple process. I found this to be very good value for The latch on a ladder I replaced had a cumbersome design that led to it breaking. Since I did not have a replacement latch, I had to replace everything on the ladder. Results are excellent. I am very pleased.
This seller goes above and beyond the call of duty Due to the ladder arriving in a box that had been opened and the brackets missing, I contacted the seller, who promptly shipped the brackets. It is definitely worth buying from this seller again, the customer service is amazing!.
The box was very poorly packed when it arrived. There was some openness on one end and a split in the middle. Ladder clips/eyes were supposed to be provided so the ladder could be hooked up to them. The box contained them, but they weren't in there. There are two holes in the box through which they must have fallen out. Also, I'd like to mention something else. Despite looking used, it appeared to be in good shape. Four worn foam sticky blocks were stuck to the ladder as if they had been placed there by someone. Despite this, however. As a result, the ladder worked out nice and we have been using it since.
This is what we bought and even though we had to cut the legs a bit shorter, it works There is no fear of getting into or out of the top bunk any longer for my son! I highly recommend this book!.
