Steps cannot be adjusted since they aren't built that way.
There appears to be a slight angle on which to use it. In the top part of the page, there are two types of "mounts". Taking up the entire bed, the first hangs from the ceiling. They also provide brackets to screw into the bed for the second type. The brackets have hooks that fit into the holes. There is not much weight that the screws will hold due to their small size. Basically, there is nothing that holds it in
It was returned to us in September, so I don't remember when we did that. It is just over a foot wide, according to my estimate.
According to the product specs, it's 66 inches tall, so it's 5 feet wide. I am 5 feet tall. Although I tried to put it in my trailer, my bunks are not fitted with a lip, so it wouldn't work.

We found it to be exactly what we needed. As my 7-year-old daughter was climbing on the bunk in our RV, we had to get a ladder It was difficult for my daughter, who is nine, to climb Rubber feet were placed on top of the hooks, which allowed us to secure the ladder vertically to the bunks. The railing also doubles as a bed rail in this way. I can't think of anything negative to say!.
The ladder I purchased was in "Like New condition" and was purchased from the Amazon Warehouse. This item is new and unused, however, the box may have some damage. Upon arrival, it was devoid of any hooks and rubber feet, and the legs of the ladder had bent out of shape to the point of making it unusable. I understand this damage is likely the result of an Amazon Warehouse oversight, however, after touching / seeing the flimsy nature of this ladder first hand, it's safe to say this ladder bent or was damaged very easily. The ladder is not designed to hold much weight, regardless of what the manufacturer claims. I would not trust it to support my children (both 50 lbs or less) who cannot handle much weight. If possible, it is important to choose a ladder that is safer.
When we setup the bunk on top, we like to have it on the highest setting so that the chairs underneath can be used without our heads hitting them. Previously we had trouble finding a bunk ladder tall enough, but we found this one to be perfect. Despite being a little bit light, it is sturdy enough for parents to crawl up and say goodnight to their children.
The ladder is not the strongest thing in the world unless it is mounted to the wall, as is the case with most RV beds ladders. being said, it holds me (215lbs), but I doubt it would hold up if I used it day in and day out, but it works great for teens and younger children. I can tell they like not having to climb all over the other furniture to reach the bunk above! Oh, one thing - I ordered the wrong length! But fear not, the threaded tube inserts will come out (in one direction) and can be reattached In the top of the legs, having been cut at the new length, the new rings were inserted.
Fitting legs are as simple as cutting them! Providing access to the top bunk of our new RV (Heartland Mallard M185) has been a challenge for my daughter. As far as I'm concerned, it did the job. It was quite easy to remove the rubber feet on the bottom and trim the legs with a bimetal blade saw, deburr the edges and reinstall Boom! That's all there is to it!.
I was surprised by how good it turned out. She likes how lightweight and sturdy it is, and how comfortable her feet are on it. She finds it easy to climb up and comfortable to step on. You're the best!.
The bracket hardware was not provided with any instructions There was no assembly required when I bought the ladder. It is a plus for sure! It took more than three days for the ladder to arrive. The ladder was in good shape, but the box was ruined somewhat. My biggest complaint is that there were no instructions about where to place the two bracket sets As I wasn't able to find it myself This is self-explanatory. I love it!.
The bunk beds for our kids are exactly the right length. Ladder is well-fitting and easy to use for the kids. They like its placement on their bedroom walls. I would recommend this ladder to teens since it is durable and well built.
