Questions & Answers

How does the handle on this hold on? Is there a keeper pin that holds it?

All you need is a screwdriver. It has a jam nut that holds the handle in place. However, I would recommend thread lock for the other end since my original fell off on the way home.

The extension I need is only six inches long. Is there a way to make this ?

It can't be cut without making your life difficult. *br>The extensions are aluminum tubes with female threads at one end for attaching to the valve and male threads at the other end for attaching to You can choose from other lengths if you wish. It appears on Amazon that the 9" is available It appears that Valterra has a 6" model as TX9HPB and on the website of the company. Most of the time, it seems like the number in the middle of the number is

Do they or any other company make an extension tube or handle that will reach 6 feet? During the tank pumping process, I broke the shaft from ?

Have a look at the following items on Amazon This is Valterra's T1046. The 12VP Waste Valve Extension Tube Kit appears to come with two different tubes and some of the comments for the kit indicate that one tube is six inches in length. This is true. can also contact Valterra or see what they have on their web site. On their site I saw a 6" extension rod for 4" valves, made of stainless steel, with part number, SKUPOT300. This is X4 It may be a bit difficult for me to get any specifics on the product, but Valterra may be able to tell you whether the threading is the same

Are you able to provide this in a 12 inch length? I appreciate it. ?

You can find the Valterra T1046 on Amazon The 10VP Extension Rod Kit" enables you to adjust the length of the rod. Despite the lack of sufficient information on Amazon, on Valterra's web site, it is called "Waste Valve Extension Rod Kit, 10" to 12", and the description is "This 10" to 12" extension rod kit includes an adjustment rod, extension rod, This is true. There is also a product on Valterra's website called the 12 inch extension rod for 6 inch and 8 inch pipe Stainless Steel 8 in. Valves, Italicized characters **I couldn't find it on Amazon and it doesn't have much information so I would suggest that you email Valterra to find out more information.

A replacement that almost matches the original
5/5

As far as I learned, the team at Keystone Passport did not feel that it was necessary to screw the waste valve extension tube/handles until they had seated properly. It looks like an extra thread is showing. Then the other one got away on a road trip covering 4300 miles! We managed to move Gray's handle after we finished the trip - You are reading A black background and a black As a replacement for one of the waste valve handles on the 2020 Keystone Passport 197RB, which was about 2" longer than the original, this was the most cost-effective option. It has been thread locker applied to both handles and seated completely. Once again, we're good to go!.

The handle needs to be metal and the length needs to be different
4/5

It seems that Valterra gates and handles are always of a high quality I have never had any issues with them. It would be great if it had an 18". (Really an 8 and a 9? Really? With a tubing cutter, I was able to get the tubing to 21"), but a 18" would have been much easier. When reaching for the release handles, I no longer have to grab the waste exit dangerously close to my face! On these Valterra gates, I directly replaced the plastic handles with the new metal handles by removing the plastic handles from the extension gates. I recently got some new valves from Valterra for some seasonal preventive maintenance so I wouldn't have to deal with them being pretty nasty when I exchanged them. It was fabricated that some "support brackets" from stainless steel would provide midway support to help prevent the possibility of bending or causing issues due to road vibrations.

It works the same as it always has
5/5

I am satisfied. Due to the fact that I have an older carriage 5th wheel that has waste valves under the belly, During the removal of the old valves, the old extensions broke off. As far as we can tell, each extension is the same as the previous one. The tube is made of thick aluminum, threaded on each end and has a handle at the other Removing the handles on the new valves and screwing the extension rods on (gently) was done using cloth and vice grips. *Please note - they seem to work fine. When I say the old ones broke, I mean As a result, the valves were probably about 20 years old and had become corroded over time. Additionally, the valves were stiff, so they had been getting harder push/pull on them than would have been typical. To put it another way, I am not worried that the new ones are going to fail just because they look like the old ones.

It fits as if it is an In fact, one of the valves broke off and fell to the ground last year
5/5

It simply unscrewed itself and fall to the ground. Imagine our surprise when it was time for the trailer to be deep cleaned and we were unable to do so because of the Due to some reason, it was hard to find a tank valve pull locally, and even Amazon made us wait awhile for it to arrive, but this works great and fits our tank valves perfectly. You don't need to worry, they are now extremely clean.

No longer is it necessary to have longer arms
5/5

The RV chores are now easier to handle in hard-to-reach places thanks to this item. To remove the valve handle, a pair of pliers used gently should be used to hold the existing rod in place. To assure the new extension will stay in place, use Locktight on the threads. The T-shirt can be extended if more time is needed A locknut can be loosened in order to extend the handle.

I need to replace the pull handle on the Black Tank
4/5

In my case, as with everyone else on here, I was upset to find that my black tank valve was missing when I pulled into the dump station. My next step was to pull the black valve to open the gate by lying in sewage water and cutting open the underbelly. In just a couple days, I ordered this item.

When I installed this, I greatly emphasized the use of blue loctite. My fingers are crossed that I won't require another!.

It's a happy camper day
5/5

When I purchased a new travel trailer, I noticed that one of these parts was missing, so I pointed this out to the dealer, and he implemented a replacement. The other one fell off somewhere along the way on my way home. It is a direct replacement, which is great, but I recommend that you use locktight when installing yours, so it won't be the same issue as mine. I hope you have a wonderful camping trip!.

OEM Replacement that is of good quality
4/5

Specifically designed to fit the Valterra Waste VV stems, this extension is a perfect fit. There is a 1/4-inch center hole, made from aluminum A 20 strand thread doesn't promise much durability, but if it's stitched tight enough, it will hang around for a long time.
