Questions & Answers
In addition to caulking the screens, I also painted them. Mice are capable of getting in through the screen if they eat a hole through it, but the place where the screens are I don't believe that is the case.
Putting two together is how you make the size you want, so if you needed 20 in, you would need a third set to make that size.
All campers will be able to use these screens! Make sure the intake and exhaust vents are sized properly.

Despite its low price, I think the set is well made, and I really like the silicone rubber seals that keep the screens from shifting. Despite this, the springs provided are not tight enough, and several times they came loose during the installation. As a fix, I simply wrapped a wire around each vent louver and through the mesh on the screen and attached it to the vent. Having now purchased my insurance, they will be safe for life. That's one thing the seller had no control over. The large square air conditioner screen was about half an inch too narrow for my Suburban air conditioner. I believe it did not guarantee a fit for this type of heater, but I assumed they were all the same size. It should have been centered properly, but with two stainless wires holding it in place, I was able to position it in a way that only leaves a tiny gap on either side (which I believe will keep most insects out). This appears to be a well-made item. A future update of this review is planned if anything changes over the next year.
Larger insects are kept out by this device. Using aluminum or copper wire and pliers, I attach the wire to the board. You can't attach it with the springs because they are too difficult to use. The ends of the wire should poke straight out. Hold the screen up to the hole while you poke the wire through the screen. Ensure that wire pokes through the screen just enough to snag on clothes as you walk. Twist and bend the wire as it pokes through the screen. These wire clips are easier and more secure than those lille spring wire clips that come loose sometimes.
Getting these installed requires quite a bit of hand-eye coordination. It is really tricky working with springs, and I am sure I will add another wire just to be sure. There was a slight issue with the white seal that came with them being too long, so I had to cut it back on each piece to Nothing to be concerned about. I recommend something similar to this to keep the critters out of your stuff since they get the job done once on site.
While the mesh does appear to be stainless steel, the magnetic base it connects to does not seem to materialize.
I am not sure if it is stainless of a lower quality. It is definitely a good idea to use the silicon provided. I haven't installed the screws yet, I just tested the stainless steel with a neodymium magnet to make sure it's actually stainless. Adding an update The product is installed and appears to be functioning properly. You will need to trim the silicone at first since it is a bit long. There was some debate about that because if it shrank any more, it would be cut too short. So I left just a little.
Facebook fans - There are two silicone strips on either side to keep paint from scratching or A dislike for- The mounting spring thingys should come in different styles. As a result, the springs are misleadingly designed to grip onto a louvre rather, they are made to hook onto a cross member that is thinner or a larger grate that is wider. This requires some McGuyvering and repositioning wire so that it does not interfere with the springs in the smaller cage.
Even though these are made well and were easy to install, they did negatively affect the operation of the equipment they are attached to. According to my theories, they restricted the flow of air enough so that the gas-operated units they were installed on burned too rich, causing the units not to work All of them have been removed.
This product was well made and has a convenient slot at the end to hold the end of the spring when fitting the springs into the vents. In order to push your tool end into the screen, you need to push it toward the center of If you want to use the springs as vents, you just need to hook them on. Do not rush. You have plenty of.
A needle nose pliers is all that is needed for installation. It is the rubber moldings that surround the rim of the screen that cushion and help to hold it in place that makes the kit so useful.
