The green side should be facing up when installing. This warning is printed on the packaging, believe it or not. It took me a while to notice it!
The package specifies a 90-day period. In dry climates, I use it more frequently; in humid areas of the United States, I use it less frequently. Just take a look at it, and if it appears to be dangerous, stay away. In our RV, we have four small dogs, so I change more than most people. It's a little tricky to advertise, so if you have two air conditioners, order two. Amazon is ranked 14th. The number 95 stands for one. If you want the best, you'll have to pay for it, so what's a dollar? Is it worth it to pay 50 cents to a dollar a day for clean air? As needed, I'll purchase more of these.
It was just one pack for me.
These are not washable; when you wash them, the dust that you can't see dries and turns into mud. Replace annually or after 90 days of continuous use for full timers, as you would with any good air filter.

As an HVAC contractor, I was hesitant to purchase this because I knew that switching from a 1/4" thick plastic factory filter to a 1" thick fiberglass filter would be difficult. It doesn't work that way, though. It reduces airflow to the absolute bare minimum CFM, causing the AC coil to freeze and stop cooling. This has the potential to seriously harm the compressor. Save money by simply cleaning your filter on a regular basis.
This is a great alternative to the A/C unit's super thin filters. Following installation, I noticed a decrease in dust. Because they are thicker, they can be a little more difficult to install. My only gripe is the price; we have three air conditioners, and I like to replace the filters earlier than the manufacturer recommends, so these can add up quickly. I wish there was a volume discount.
As a full-time employee, I am responsible for I've been looking for a replacement for the Dometic units' standard foam a/c filters for a long time. They do get filthy, so I'm sure they catch the larger pieces. But what about the rest?br>br>I've found everything I've been looking for. The quality of this filter has me very impressed. Constructed in the style of a high-end hotel filter for the furnace at the end Simply by looking at it, you can tell it will capture a lot of impurities. After only a few weeks, the snowy white underside has begun to change color. As far as I can tell, there is no loss of air flow. They're not cheap, but I figure two per air conditioning season won't be too much. RV Air, I'll be back for more.
According to one review, this air filter significantly restricts airflow. In my case, the air flow from my air conditioner is the same as it was before I replaced the filter. My air conditioner is a Dometic 13000 BTU with ducts, I believe. Although the filter has a slight bulge, it is a small price to pay for cleaner air. Definitely a better option than buying an expensive air purifier with filters that need to be replaced on a regular basis.
We live in Phoenix and are constantly exposed to desert dust, so these filters are invaluable. I just wish they would give me a better deal on a larger order. These are the only ones I'll use.
It's a lot thicker than the Dometic A/C units' stock foam. As far as I can tell, there is no reduction in airflow. I'm going to buy a second pair as a backup.
This filter isn't working for me because it causes the cover to bow out to the point where it's impossible to keep it in place.
It's a perfect fit and has performed admirably thus far.
