In Eco mode, the A1Power inverter generator produces watts. I never imagined it, but all of the reviews and YouTube videos are correct. The a/c was blowing cold with the 1600/2000 watt inverter generator in eco mode (not full throttle) after running the EasyStart through its learning process on shore power. I live near sea level, so I'm interested to see how well it works at higher elevations. br>br>It was a breeze to install. Micro- Wiring instructions are available for a variety of a/c models from Air. I found a YouTube video that showed me how to do it step by step. step-by-step installation on my specific air conditioner model, greatly simplifying the process. The EastStart didn't show up in my phone's bluetooth settings, so connecting the Bluetooth monitor took the longest. As stated in the Amazon product description, I was unable to locate Bluetooth ID. A day later, Hutch Mountain sent a second set of instructions with the installation kit, showing how to locate the bluetooth ID. It was up and running in a matter of hours. br>br> I can keep track of its progress and rest easy knowing that the Easy Start is reporting that everything is in good working order. The amperage required to start up is 13. 3 amps.
It was well packed. br>The free installation kit was an added bonus, and the Wago connectors are fantastic! br>br>The only way to go is with the Bluetooth version. Couldn't rate tech support because I didn't need any at all!.
This is a fantastic device. The compressor is barely audible now, and there are no dimming lights, power surges, or other issues; the only disappointment is that the "bluetooth" feature is a joke. It doesn't work yet because the app isn't functional (the manufacturer told me this), and even if it is, it's only intended for the manufacturer's diagnostics, not for the user. However, it is still valuable and allows us to run our Dometic air conditioner on a Honda generator or a 2000W inverter until the batteries are depleted.
Our Airstream's Dometic Penquin I AC/Heatpump is now connected to this MicroAir Easy Start. We went with the Bluetooth model, which only shows the maximum amps on the most recent load, as well as the number of starts and current amp usage. Our air conditioner drew 6 amps during the testing. While running, it draws 5 amps. I was able to successfully run on Eco Mode after connecting to our Honda 2200 Companion, which is a huge accomplishment. This item is highly recommended if you want to run AC on a single generator.
This is the only air conditioning unit that is ever powered by a generator. The Blue Tooth capable model has a smart phone app that will report on it and let you know what it is doing and if any faults are detected. It's not difficult to install and the seller support is excellent, but you must be able to understand and follow a wiring diagram and read the instructions thoroughly for your particular unit. To start my 15K AC in its stock state, it would require nearly a 30 amp current surge. It now only takes a little over 13 amps to start it, and the running amperage is just over 8 amps after installation. Highly recommended!.
Installation of the EasyStart was a breeze. I didn't need to call for assistance because the materials provided were adequate. It's a fantastic product. Both 15kbtuh air conditioners will run on 30a shore power and start on a 4KW Generator, which I installed.
They called me back and walked me through the entire installation after I sent them photos of my air conditioner from the roof. Working for 20 minutes. We fell to a 14th place finish. Start with a 5 amp surge and work your way up to about 40 amps. We can choose 30 amp service and run both air conditioners with this product, which we really like. Start the Micro Air unit first, then the high-current one.
I used the install kit after following the online instructions. The install instructions and the kit provided differed slightly, but because the kit included wagos, I knew I could just use those instead of crimp-ons. ons. I took about a half hour to remove and reinstall the cover because there were four wires. With Bluetooth on Android, you simply need to make sure you grant it location permission, as this is linked to Android's ability to discover devices. I was able to run my 15k AC off of a 2500W Champion generator without any problems once I got that in place.
