Questions & Answers
No, only at one end, where the cable hook is looped around. It just gives you something to hold onto instead of a frayed cable that could cut you. It also looks cool and serves as a warning for your winch.
The fabric loop is only able to fit inside the snap-on closure. So it's not a case of theft. proof.

My sun-bleached and frayed Warn winch hook strap was the perfect replacement. In addition, the price was fair. br>br>7-May-2019 Update: I recently purchased my third Warn Hook Strap. I get about two years out of each strap, which I consider to be quite good. Because they're inexpensive, I'll keep replacing them every few years to keep my winch in good working order. When they're new, they're attractive, and when you need to remove the winch cable, they're functional.
A double loop (on both ends) was something I really wanted. I haven't put it to the test yet because I recently had my Jeep repaired after the last mudding incident.
This one is identical to the one that came with it. I wouldn't have left my original out in the elements, but it's still functional after four years, albeit a little duller.
I'm not sure what the problem is with all of the negative feedback. The winch cable and hook are pulled with the help of this safety strap. Steel cabled hooks produce whiskers that skewer your hands, as any winch user knows. This will give you something to pull with and keep the cable taut while reeling it in. I'm not sure if the people who thought they were buying a hook and a strap were simply confused and didn't read the fine print, or if they were truly willing to risk their lives and property for a cheap hook! Any $5 hook will get you real people. 00 should be reserved for decoration only!.
It'll do the trick, but the WARN is a little difficult to read up close! I was hoping they'd try harder to improve the show! However, the performance is excellent! br>br>OK, it's been nearly a month since I purchased this strap! It's been on the H1 for about three weeks now. I just took a look at it today and noticed that the bottom is fraying! I haven't gone insane trying to hit jumps or anything like that! There has been a lot of snow in this area, and the temperature has been below freezing for the past two weeks. In my opinion, this is very poor! If it's going to stay on the front of a truck, it needs to be a lot more durable!.
The strap was delivered, but the hook was not. br>br>I didn't pursue it because I didn't think it was worth my time.
I purchased this to replace a worn-out strap. The deep red color looks great.
This winch strap simply makes grabbing the winch hook a little easier.
