That would be dependent on the chain's size; the "opening" is 1. The ring measures 5"x3" and has a 5/16" stamp. Yes, you could put a clevis through it and run a much longer chain through it, far exceeding its rated capacity. Check your total requirements, then multiply by two. Do you fit this product's rating? Aside from the question of "will it fit," there are a slew of other safety concerns to consider.

On the two B/A Hook Clusters I received, I found the following: The country of origin is not listed on the two welded links or the steel tag, but the three hooks and the large link all have "CHINA" in bold, raised letters.
You will receive exactly what you see. I needed four of them to secure my Corvette. I ended up cutting the ones I wasn't using off because I had huge dents in the trailer floor the first time I trailered my car 5000 miles round trip.

He used it for the first time today, and it literally snapped in half just by hooking it to the cable and the cable bed. THANK GOD he wasn't driving a real car with it because it would have snapped and cost him his life. The cars are towed up the flatbed in neutral, and if that broke while hooked to a towed car, it would've rolled backwards, maiming or killing him, and instead of asking for a refund, I would've sued the crap out of Amazon and everyone involved for millions. My money will be returned to me. My husband called me upset because he knew what could have happened if things had gone differently. br>br>You should be ashamed of yourself for selling a POS product that is used in such a way that it can be life-threatening if it breaks, and this thing broke the first time he used it. You should have just made it out of plastic. br>br> The results are the same. You could have done it for free. Never again, please. br>br>.
I wasn't sure it'd be strong enough at first, but for the price, I figured it was worth a shot. With a 12k pound winch, I loaded a Yukon onto a trailer. There was no bending, marring, or failure. The purchase has pleased me.
I haven't had the opportunity to put them to use yet. Bought to pull people out of the woods without tow hooks when off-roading. On the trails, I come across some vehicles that don't belong there. Tow hooks aren't available on these new cars and SUVs. So I'm hoping this will catch them off guard and get them started.
This hook makes it extremely simple and quick to attach to these modern automobiles. It's a good idea to keep one in the truck in case you need to pull someone out! This one has already been used three times in just a few weeks, thanks to the harsh winter we've had.
