Getting the fender molding off and cutting the cover was the most difficult part. The cuts in the bumper cover were made with ease using a multi tool. The instructions required me to cut two slots that were not required and omit two that were required for some reason. It's not a big deal because the back of the cover has cut lines on it.
In less than 30 minutes, my friend and I had it installed. Taking the bumper cover off and cutting it is the most difficult part. It's a piece of cake if you can follow directions. It appears to be fantastic. It appears to be a factory-made item.
The end result was fantastic. The only thing I'd add that the instructions don't mention is what to do after you've removed all of the hardware. The attached clips hold the fender flares in place. When pulling toward you, it's best to use a small screw driver. As for removing the bumper from inside the rear fender well, you removed the top bolt. Make sure to pry around the pull that is pulling you in your direction. That's where I got stuck, so good luck!.
As described in the description. The kit came with everything you need to get started, but you'll need a cutting tool, sockets, and body plastic removing tools, as well as your screwdrivers. It took about an hour to complete the installation. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Because the instructions were unclear about where holes in the bezel needed to be cut, I deducted a star. It looked great once it was installed, just like it had come from the dealer. br>br> It is important to note that the wiring harness is not included.
The inside of the bumper has a cutout pattern. I simply cut it out with a dremel tool. Everything else went fairly smoothly, though I did have to take it to the dealer to have the harness activated, which was only $15. I had to try a different dealer because one wanted $95 to activate it.
I bought this hitch for the first time and had no experience with it. The instructions were completely accurate. Cutting the bumper was the most difficult part. Simply take your time; the outline was present on my 2014 calendar. Everything snapped into place perfectly after I cut it slowly. The only problem is that the clips that replace the ones on the bumper are ineffective. I got some from a dealer for $5, and they worked perfectly.
Even for the back-of-the-house crew, the installation was a little nerve-wracking. mechanic on the property If removing interior door panels becomes too difficult, be prepared to carefully separate the plastic bumper cover from the body panels without damaging the paint.
It worked perfectly. It appears to be quite appealing.
