Tongue weight: 1700 lbs.
It measures 3 inches in width.
I was looking for the largest hitch weight rating as a professional transporter, which led me to the Gen-Y. It turns out that even though I chose a smaller hitch, it still has a higher tongue weight rating. I'm very pleased with it, and I believe it will last for a long time, as airbags can cause problems in a matter of years.

It's the difference between life and death! Anyone would benefit from it. My ONLY complaint is that the receiver holes for anything you're towing, such as a step, stabilizers, or a team hitch cover, are only two inches wide! There is no mention of it fitting a 2 anywhere in the description. If you want to use the 5" receiver, you'll have to convert everything you already have to a 2". I was completely twisted because I had ordered a $150 Gen Y hitch step to go with it. However, since I ordered a 2, this isn't an issue. I'm going to use my new 2. 5" step with it. It was too big for the 5" hitch. Now it's time to send it back (at my expense, of course) and wait for the smaller version to arrive. Again, this is an AMAZING hitch, but they should specify in the description that it does not require the same size tubing that it does.
It is, first and foremost, heavy. It's a big one. With everything you need to tow, this hitch will last a lifetime. On our 1 ton chassis and wonderful speed bump roads, the cushion makes for a much smoother ride.
I was skeptical at first, but I must admit that it works. I went for a test drive with a trailer loaded to 13k pounds and noticed a noticeable difference in the ride. I even drove over two sets of railroad tracks to see how far the truck had been pushed. I'd like to express my dissatisfaction in two ways. This item is both costly and cumbersome. It was 92 pounds when I weighed it on the shop scale. 6 lbs.
The bad part is that the Subarus in front of you don't like it. Subaru, on the other hand, did not fare as well.
Towing my enclosed trailer (10,000 pounds loaded) was a night and day difference.
The balls are amazing. The jerking back feeling is almost gone unless it's a nasty dip. br>br>The jerking back feeling is almost gone unless it's a nasty dip. I tow about once a week ftr.
It is effective.
