The reverse lights are connected to the white wire.
It fits onto the smaller part of the 2 inch hitch that slides into the vehicle's receiver, and it appears to be splash resistant from what I could tell. It has a 2 foot cord that plugs into the 4 way flatt, so I wouldn't expect it to work unless you ziptie it on and run an electrical extension. Furthermore, it is not recognized by the Department of Transportation as a primary light source, but only as a supplement.
It's only about a foot long to reach from the ballhitch to the bumper plug. Wires would have to be run along the trailer for the jet ski.
It will work if you have the 3pin rear trailer connection, but you must connect the white wire to the backup lights.

A 2" hitch receiver could not fit because the opening was too small. To get a receiver into the opening, I had to file back all four corners and shave the plastic. The opening cracked in half as the set screw was tightened. The housing is made of a very brittle plastic. Made for a very low price. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!.
The set screw's location on the light was very easily broken. In addition, one of the wires leading to the plug was frayed, resulting in a faulty connection. To get the lights to work properly, I had to splice in a new plug. Finally, there were no instructions as to what the lone white wire was for or where it should be connected.
It appears to be of high quality. I wanted more light when backing up, so I bought it.
There was no installation assistance provided.
It was simple to hook up.
When I tried to slide it over the receiver, it broke.
It doesn't fit in the hitch and has no red lights. A very low-cost item.
