Questions & Answers
You can purchase and splice in matching trailer wiring.
The vehicle in front of you sees the red lens on one side of the light. The light can be seen on the other side, which is amber in color. The entire light flashes when you activate your turn signal.
The lights were designed and manufactured in China. I've had great results with the product. There were no issues.
Yes, they function as both "running" and "marker" lights, as well as brake and turn signals.

The right light was the first to go out, and now neither of them is working. UPDATED: I didn't return the item because it was well past the return window when I had problems, but this company went above and beyond to stand behind their product. However, after learning about my issue, one of their representatives contacted me. Unfortunately, the emails ended up in spam folders. They did not, however, abandon their efforts to assist. They kept reaching out to me. I came across their emails months later while looking for something unrelated in my spam folder. I sent one back, figuring there was a slim chance they'd still be willing to help months later. WRONG. They were quick to respond, and I had a replacement in a matter of days. Wow is all I have to say. I believe this is the best customer service I've ever experienced!.
They didn't fly off the trailer at all, despite the fact that they were driving 70 miles per hour in full wind. The interstate speed limit is 80 mph. br>br>I've read some complaints about the magnets not working, but it's most likely due to thin metal. The rails to which I was fastening them were made of 1/4" steel (0. 25"). If the steel is very thin, such as 18 gauge (0. 04") or even 16ga (0. 016") wire. They may not be able to withstand 06" of pressure. 11ga (0. 125) is likely to be the correct answer. br>br>All I had to do was remove the red/yellow plastic from them and swap them around, which wasn't difficult. br>br>These are a huge improvement over my trailer's messed-up, mouse-eating wiring harness. br>br>Once you've finished with these, I recommend taking them down, wrapping them in plastic, and storing them in a safe place. If you just want to leave them outside on the trailer, don't leave them outside. There's no reason to weather them.
Expect them to only work for a month or two at most. If you only need something for a few weeks, these will suffice. It's also worth noting that the wires exit the housing on the wrong side so that they can properly face each other. The right signal is the one closest to the plug, and the left is the one at the end of the wire. The yellow lights must face backwards and the red lights must face forward if the wires are facing each other. My application was far too broad and had to be used in this manner. The wire can be wrapped around the units in a narrow application so that the red faces back.
To tow behind my motorhome, I recently purchased a new car. I only had a few days to get ready before embarking on a long journey. As a result, with no time to connect to the vehicle's actual tail-lights, These externally mounted lights were the perfect complement to the lighting system. They're simple to install, the magnets keep them in place (even at speeds over 70 mph), and they're visible from both the front and back (amber and red).
I have a motorcycle tow hitch carrier that allows me to transport my motorcycle behind my Jeep. The issue is that my Jeep's taillights are completely obscured by the motorcycle. I purchased this towing light kit in order to mount the lights on the carrier. The magnets are strong, the cable connections are flawless, and the lights are highly visible to cars approaching from behind. The turn signals, brake lights, and lights all work as they should. Now that I'm legal, I can rest assured that I'm in good hands.
This was ordered to be mounted on a "toad" behind the RV. The only change I made was to cover all of the connecting wires with a homemade wire cover to prevent them from marring or scratching the vehicle's paint. It really works. To make it "foolproof," I marked the right lamp, making it a no-brainer to figure out which one goes on which side (their instructions are clear, but I marking made it REALLY easy). So far, I've used it twice on two trips and have had no problems with it; the magnets are strong and do not slip.
My small (1000-pound) trailer's lights have always been a source of frustration. Now I keep these new Amazon lights in the garage to ensure that they stay in good working order and are always ready to use. The lights are extremely bright. The color orange is facing forward, while the color red is facing back. The running lights are also bright and pleasant to look at. Strong magnets, but I used duct tape to keep them in place. Please don't give these lights a bad rating because they get blown off in an 80 mph wind (60 mph road speed with a 20 mph gust) These aren't meant to be left up all the time. Be fair! If the magnets were much stronger, they could injure a finger if they were placed near good ferromagnetic iron. THANK YOU SO MUCH. VERY WELL DONE.
The lighting is excellent. There's plenty of wire, but the magnets aren't strong enough to keep it in place while traveling. After losing our first pair, we zip tied it on. It was a good lesson. ***Update: br>br> This company provides excellent customer service. They contacted me after reading my review and sent me replacements for free. Thank you very much!.
