I can attest to this because I live in Seattle. For this, you'll need a lock.
Although the American flag face plate is made of aluminum, the plate to which it is attached is not. Steel, to be precise. The screws that hold the face plate in place and the bolt that connects to a trailer hitch are both stainless steel. When stainless steel reacts with carbon steel, a process known as galvanic corrosion occurs. I would have purchased an all-steel version if I had known about this. br>br>The face plate is also wavy, which is not a good thing.
The 2020 Ford Explorer ST is a perfect match for this model. This hitch cover is very nice. This afternoon, I fitted it to my 20 Explorer ST. The fit is perfect, as the holes in the yoke and hitch lined up perfectly after the foam was placed on the back of the cover. When I put the bolt in, I had to push pretty hard on the cover, but it's a great tight fit that doesn't rattle. The only difference is that it does not include the AIRCRAFT NUT pictured in the photos. I looked for a photo of someone else and couldn't find it. I was planning on using this aircraft nut as a secure mount, but it looks like I'll have to invest in a hitch lock. Because so many people now despise or are offended by the American Flag, I should probably find a way to secure it. I also wish it had been manufactured in the United States.
Because I have a quick release for when I need to tow a trailer, I chose to use my own hitch pin. This is a fantastic addition to my vehicle, and I've already had three friends tell me how much they enjoy it since I put it on!.
What could be more American than a truck adorned with an American flag? The only thing that could make this item more appealing is if it were delivered by a bald eagle and installed by Uncle Sam. This deserves a perfect score of 50 stars. . . . . . merica!.
This is a well-made and attractive hitch cover. With a chrome hitch pin, this hitch is made of solid metal. Fits perfectly on my new 2021 Ford F150. There are three depth settings, and there is no rattle. Putting on the locking pin was the most difficult part. I expect the truck to run out of gas before this.
After a summer of extreme heat, dusty and muddy back roads, and so on, I decided to update the clear coat I applied. After the winter is over, I'll most likely do it again. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! Stunning. br> There are no stickers on this one, unlike the others. I noticed that it faded quickly, so I sprayed it four times with a fine clear spray to prolong the protection. I'll keep you updated on how that goes.
150-pound hitch with a 2-inch receiver. This, on the other hand, fits into the hitch with ease. The three alignment holes aren't perfectly aligned. To keep the pin from rattling, I lightly hammered it against the hitch. If I chose the first or second hole, there would be a lot of movement, which would cause rattle. I was extremely dissatisfied with this purchase because it was not inexpensive. I'm sure I'll come back.
