It is impressive that I have camped with these leveling blocks and every single time I've been in dirt. I will say, in my opinion, these were made for dirt, though if the dirt is really soft or sandy, the block will sink a bit. I also weigh about 9,000lbs packed when the camper is built. I never experienced sinking when I was camping with my previous camper, which weighed almost 7,000 pounds. Furthermore, when we were finished picking up, we found that the open design allowed dirt to easily fall out with just a gentle tap.
As we live full time in our arctic fox 1150 truck camper, I keep two stacks of ice blocks in the camper for leveling. Yet, we have not cracked these. Our ram 3500 dually carries the camper fulltime. I find the blocks very prone to warping and cracking. As soon as I used them, a crack appeared on one of them and they warped. A level and smooth surface must be present across the ground otherwise, the wheels will not work.

I need to replace my old bocks because they are wearing out. The trailer has three axles, so I plan to use them IN LINE and not width wise. There should also be a set of squares for when you need to fill in. I mocked them up along with my trailer, and they appear to work without a problem. When blocks are doubled, they stack up much quicker. To use my old blocks as caps, I modified them. Pictures will be posted once the system has been used.
Using these blocks for a camper one time ended in a shattered mess. In years past, I bought a set of these and they were good, but the new ones are no good. Naturally, the date by which I could return them has now passed. It is hard to predict tolerances when a new product is launched. Using blocks for a month causes deformation of the ends, which can make they become difficult to mate together. It would be easier to assemble after use if there was a looser fit. The product is excellent. I would purchase it.
After 6 months, a new review has been posted. In my experience, the Camco FasTen 4x2 Leveling Block For Dual Tires stack well but they mar very badly when used on gravel. When you stack them as you did when you first purchased them, they will not match. The blocks loose their shape and will not fit together. This is a good idea in the short run, but not for long-term success. I like the fact that they serve their purpose and are sturdy and hold a lot of weight.
We bought these in order to level our camper. Their durability and ability to adhere to the tires made them pretty useful under tires.
I bought these to help level a fifth wheel, but I used them on small rocks and It is impossible to stack the edges back together after they have been folded over so badly. Although they are not used for a sewer hose support, they work well for that.
The ground in the dirt lot was soggy from recent rain, so I parked there. Camping in plastic caused the plastic to bend after just one night.
I can level my class C with these. My favorite feature of the tires is their width, especially at the front. Having a jack makes it easier for my wife and me to level the camper together.
