Questions & Answers

What is the maximum force these wheel chocks can handle How many gallons can a tanker truck hold?

This would be adequate for a trailer that holds 6,500 lbs, but I would get larger chocks for a trailer that holds 7,000 lbs or more A truck that holds one thousand gallons.

Can these be used by semi trucks weighing more than 80,000 pounds?

Due to the fact that I use this primarily on light vehicles, I can't comment on semi-trucks. Although they are not slippery, when they are contaminated with salt, sand, etc., they tend to slip.

How well do they fit in ?

My auxiliary pins work well on an inclined driveway so far and manage to hold roughly 8,000 lbs

Can you tell me if anyone has used these on a steep incline? I am looking at these for a boat (17ft) to have a driveway with a 30% incline. ?

In addition to my 27 ft camper, I also use them on my truck

There is no solid foundation
3/5

The vertical is too extreme. I voted for these because of the ad and the paper tag included with them. Despite what they claim, they aren't. Their hollowness makes them difficult to understand. Moreover, as was indicated by other pictures Tire chocks for heavy/medium trucks are really too vertical to be of much use. This prevents the chock from wedgeing under the tire (the tire just touches the top, the chock does not dislodge). Since they are hollow, I would crush them if I stood 210lb on top of It will be tough to stop my truck or RV, which weigh in at 40,000 pounds or more.

My big size arrived today
4/5

It's nice and big. About 1, I was disappointed to see that there was a split. On the inside corner of one of my wheel chocks, it is 5 inches long and half an inch wide. It's impossible to figure out how that could possibly The item does not appear to be affected by this, so it is most likely that I will not return it. I like these because they are heavy and wider than most chockers. Having the eye hooks to tie a chain or rope to makes it a snap to pull out the wheel chocks without getting your hands dirty and without bending down. This fits about the width of my 2003 Ford Expedition's tire. As part of the inside is separated from the exterior, they are not solid rubber, but that shouldn't affect the friction that keeps a vehicle stopped. The material appears to have some sort of slimy release agent on it or perhaps it is a After cleaning the bottom of one of these with a brush and Dawn dish soap, I placed it back in its place. My Ford expedition in the garage is sitting on smooth concrete, so I parked it there. My presumption was that pushing against this chock on the ground with my foot would cause it to slide instead of stopping the Using reverse, I brought my car up against the chalk and let it idle. Following that, I gave it some gas against the chock, then I went forward and then I went back. Despite being tested for years, the chalk still held up well. When using a dry floor, I got a little slipping out of it. In wet conditions, I imagine it would slide more easily. My dotco will be roughened up at the bottom of the chocks to give them more traction to prevent them

Normally I would rate these product 5 stars if mine didn't have a crack in the bottom and if it had a more aggressive bottom, either by a different material, or by a different texture.

Chunks on the wheels
5/5

The rubber is great, you want to make sure you use grease remover before using them. I used purple power and scrubbed a bit, then I bought a 10' chain and two chains from Lowe's. His name was Bingo, after he got everything together using 5/16 quick links.

The situation is fine
5/5

There are many reviews that complain about the smell of rubber, and most are related to that issue. As soon as I received mine on 3/17/19, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It was hard for me to detect any smell when I put my nose right up to them. It might be about 35 degrees outside if we were sitting outside in the colder weather In the 40 degree weather, the smell was barely noticeable, however, on exceptionally hot days perhaps the oils in the rubber may seep out, giving off a strong As far as I'm concerned, the company has done a good job handling these complaints so far. I wouldn't be discouraged since we're talking about rubber, most of which is sent, depending on where you sleep with it. Unless under the wheels, but not next to your pillow, I wouldn't be too concerned. They were also reported as not being as solid as they were described as being. It is true that they are hollowed out on the underside, but these blocks are extremely rigid. I cannot attest to their strength on the road unless you are the Incredible Hulk. As for behind the wheel of a vehicle, I have not tried it yet, but if they hold up well for my pop-up, I would say they will be fine. A camper is set up. The purpose of wheel chocks is to stop your wheels from moving, but if you put your vehicle in gear and put gas in it, that's like hitting the trigger on a gun, trusting that the safety will release when you let go. Their heavy weight, rigidity, barely noticeable odor, as well as eyebolts for securing ropes/chains, make them a powerful tool. These are much bigger than you think when you get them, so I think I'll be able to use them comfortably for my 2,300 lb laiden weight- A camper is set up.

There is a rubbery smell to it
5/5

The experience was not overwhelming like I expected it to be. Is the smell a topic of conversation among the crowd? Is that true? There is a rubbery smell to it. In contrast to the reviews I had read, I did not feel overwhelmed. The smell of the tires in the garage was not noticeable after two days. A cheap plastic set from Wallmart has been ruined by UV exposure, so I was never confident about them. I have a set from Kmart which has held up well ever since. The more I read about the other ones on Amazon, the more i noticed the difference in size. These are much wider and taller for only a small amount more. They deserve a lot of praise. It is not a big deal if the " smell" is an.

Wheel chocks that can hold a lot of weight? Almost ran over it with a RV
3/5

Wheel chocks that can hold a lot of weight? The RV almost smashed it to the ground before it stopped. Avoid buying them if they are going to be used on an RV.

Despite rough and tumble use, they hold up fairly well
5/5

There is no doubt that these work In addition to using them with my portable sawmill, I frequently use them to block up a wheel if it has been lifted As a result, I use them when hauling logs to the mill, it saves my back by not allowing the log to move so I can rehook the cant hooks. The chock blocks are put to rough use on both ends, but they hold up well, even when they have been smooshed a few inches. It has only ever been a problem that I needed more than two at times, but since they weigh a good deal, I bought 2 smaller chock blocks to get by for the time being.

Holder for a door
5/5

Ideally suited as an exterior door jamb and stopper, we receive deliveries all the time with guys in dolly, weekly. To keep the door from being damaged by dollies and causing damage to the items on the dollies, this is meant to keep them from banging on the door. As is usual for rubber suckers, these suckers are a good size, easy to move, and smell like rubber, as they normally do. The handles are good for holding the door open wide, but not for securing it.
