Questions & Answers

Does anyone have a picture of the inner inlet where the check valve is located. What is behind the screen for sediment in the mine and what is the spring surrounding the smaller open valley?

They are also included in this unit One of the springs is part of a one-piece system The valve has two ways.

What is the check valve on the inlet for the city water on this item?

It appears that there is a check valve for the inlet to the city water system. I appreciate it

Could you please tell me where you can get an extra key?

Taking the original key to a locksmith is the only way I can get it back. It should be possible to get a blank that fits There will be a slight difference in appearance, but it will still work.

Where can I find a brass inlet replacement for the city inlet side?

There has not yet been a direct replacement in this. The only time I recommend brass is if you live in a warm climate zone. A brass item, however, has the advantage of being a good conductor of cold and more prone to freezing.

There are serious problems with the design of city waters
3/5

The city water valve leaker and one of these were both installed on multiple garden hoses, and when the hardened hose was behind the swivel, it leaked every time. Lastly, the plastic clip that held the check valve in place broke. * After installing my rv water hose, the metal male end of my hose broke off and after buying a new rv water hose I now had two broken parts to it.
I reinstalled a check valve and city water, and it still leaked
I reinstalled a second gasket. That one fit perfectly, threaded snuggly, but it still Additionally, I learned that it does not stop the back pressure from the 12 volt pump, so I installed a secondary check valve in line. Also, whenever the propane leaks, it goes in through all of the holes and crevices, luckily *After buying this twice, I wish I'd bought a different one in the first place.

An air gap exists between the city and the outside world
3/5

A bad decision. There is nothing good about the city water connection, as many of my fellow commenters have stated. A leakage rate of more than 10psi is significant and seems to appear through the panel. My plumbing is from the ground up, so I removed the connection and connected a 3/4" GHT to 1/2" barb. I already had brass check valves inline, so I just removed them. 0 is the size of the opening in the panel. Through a tube of 80" can be inserted tubing up to 3/4" in diameter. On the whole, it's a very cheap product that can be made to function.

There is one slight issue
5/5

Despite this, the part itself was not too difficult to install. Considering I am new to the whole RV experience, I am unsure if I am using the correct terminology. On the inside of this part, the inlet port is angled up about 45 degrees. I was unable to attach the rigid plastic water line to it because of this. The water line has no real give, so we were unable to try bending it at all to screw it into place, which led to an excessive amount of pressure on the point of attachment. As a result, I ended up having to relocate part of the rigid water line from the first elbow to the inlet port with new brass fittings and 1/2" pinch clamps and replace it with Accuflex 150 psi. It has now been fixed, and it works as it should.

I just like it very much
5/5

It worked well for me and it is a very nice inlet for your water tank. A nice lock door with a spout to go into the water tank would be very convenient for me. It has one hole in which you can hook a line that runs to the tank, and you can let the air flow out through that. In any case, I use any other one as the water inlet. Obviously, the other one isn't used by me. In my opinion, it is not suitable for use with As a rule of thumb, if you have a gravity-defying device- It will work just fine if you feed it a little water. I could see it snapping if the screws are overtightened when you screw it in and fasten Nevertheless, there is no gasket for the bottom. It would be nice if there were a gasket behind it that would protect it while bolting or screwing it to your trailer or whatever you'll be mounting it on. I am very happy. It comes with extra keys It locks nicely It's a nice thing to have. I debated for a long time over writing the reviews before doing so, but I did it anyways, and I am.

There are leaks and brittle parts
3/5

You should take the time to read the reviews of others! Additionally, the city line connection leaks on the swivel. There is also a difficult angle to deal with from inside and outside, making connections a pain. You are doing yourself a favor if you spend a few extra dollars on an assembly you will appreciate. In my opinion, it isn't worth the money or effort it will take to fix or upgrade this one.

For the price, it's ok, but the threaded plastic water connection is quite tenuous
3/5

We tried multiple thread sealants, but could not get it to seal. As a result of the plastic being so brittle, the retainer holding the fitting to the panel broke when it was attempted to be removed. I ended up drilling out the hole and using a regular brass flex connector for the garden hose.

You've done a great job
3/5

Cheap, but not as good. Due to the aging of my original, I replaced it. The two were a perfect match. As a result, the model is constructed entirely out In my old model, there was a brass fitting on the high pressure side. I wish this company provided the same.

There's a connection between the water from the city and the gravity pump
5/5

There wasn't any results when I put in the model and year of the make and model so I took my chances on one that looked like the one that was on my 5th wheels It fitted perfectly and works just great They are very good at delivering and fit perfectly and work just fine.
