The answer is "I don't know.". As of yet, I have not installed it. If I want to prevent backflow, maybe I should get one with a check valve.

In spite of the low price, I was surprised by the thin and cheap plastic used on this item. I cannot return because it is too late. In case your camper already has an opening of this size, perhaps the item you need to replace a broken fill station would be this. Although I am doing a new installation, I am not in the least bit contemplating drilling a hole in my trailer for this piece of garbage. With different brand water connection and separate fill dish I also opted for a round opening for city water. Each of them is at least twice as durable as this one, and they've arrived already.
There is only one gravity-based system in the world Adding the hose and filling the space The door on the fill has a locking mechanism. It feels like thin brittle crap to me. Like everyone else has said, it feels thin and brittle. It is too cheap as hell, but I strengthened it with thin lines of aluminium and black rivets. As a result, the hose connectors are cheap ass twist-in locks that do not have any stops, so I used large amounts of super-heavy duty hot glue to hold Unless you do this, they will twist-unlock on their own and cause disruptions. Ultimately, I rated it three out of five The design idea is good, but the execution is cheap ass. Having modified and improved it enough to make it acceptable, I was able to make it a success. The way I see it, I'm going to keep looking for a similar setup that is more substantial and of higher The product seems to be an average one for its low price.
Plastic is used for the connection to the hose. I did not even have the opportunity to use it before it broke. All fittings on the hose were replaced with metal fittings, but I kept the box.
This seems to be a strong enough statement. There had never been any door on the inlets for gravity/city water in our trailer. By putting this unit in place, people will not be able to accidentally open Currently there aren't any metal ones available on the market, but I'd like one made of metal. However, I did have to enlarge the opening in order to install the lamp.
The cost of plastic is low, but it is durable. Only one weak link is the city water hookup, which is very cheap and flimsy. There is a tendency for it to break and crack The parts were supposed to be made of brass or strong material.
My recessed tray didn't fit my hole, but I was able to make it smaller by cutting it to size and using the extra plastic to fill in the gap.
There is no water proofing on the city water fitting. It is held in place with a plastic slip clip.
There is no word on how it will hold up against the UV rays, or how its colors will hold up. It was installed in my trailer just now.
