Questions & Answers
The following are some suggestions for wiring: The ground wire is white, the taillight is black, and the brake and turn signal wires are red.
I'm not sure what a spacer is. I was replacing the tail lights on a travel trailer and needed a good seal to keep water out.
I believe you've miswired them.
No resistors are required to be loaded.

It was a perfect fit. Screws were a perfect fit for the width. Because the new light isn't as tall as the old one, I had to drill two new bottom holes, but the old ones are just beneath and hidden by the new light plate. Note that I discovered my white wire (ground) UNDER the old backplate with a touch of silicone. So white wire to white wire, but my black wire had to go to a new red wire, and my old green wire had to go to a new black wire; just test with your blinker on and you'll know what's right.
I knew right away that our RV's rear brake lights needed to be replaced. They were extremely dim in the daylight, which terrified me. It's critical to have bright signal lights when towing a camper in an unfamiliar city where sudden stops or turns are the norm. br>br>These are extremely bright; even in daylight, they outperform the old incandescent bulbs I had previously. I would have given these 5 stars if the protective plastic on one of the covers hadn't been removed, revealing a nice lone scratch and some buffing. This isn't like getting a scratched TV that you'd send back right away, and these will be exposed to the elements, but a scratch right out of the box? (As seen in the photo) Regardless, they're simple to install, improve safety, and should last the life of the camper. Although the price appears to be a little high, the quality appears to be well worth the investment.
I had to modify the back plate on the driver's side light because the wires were running through the wrong side, and I can't seem to get the turn signals to work no matter what I try. I couldn't find a phone number or email address for customer service, so these lights aren't recommended.
Easy to install, appear durable, plenty bright at night (I haven't seen them during the day or with the sun at the back), definitely better construction than the OE, any reviews below 4 don't make sense, yet to see how durable Next season, I'll make an effort to provide an update. I would strongly suggest it.
Shipping was very quick. On the back of my 2007 R-Type, these taillights are fantastic. Trail camper with a vision. The holes were perfectly aligned with the original holes. These tail lights have an amazing amount of brightness. These are something I would strongly recommend. Great buy.
I bought these for my camper after one of the old tail light lenses broke off on a trip through Michigan's back roads. I looked around and these seemed to be the best deal. The holes aligned with my existing mounting holes, making installation a breeze. It was completed in under an hour. Around this, I put a bead of caulk. I made it through two trips, one of which was mostly rainy. I was going to give it five stars, but one of the plastic tabs for the license plate snapped off while I was getting the camper ready for winter storage. I deducted a star because you should be able to flex a little bit without it snapping off.
The lighting is adequate, though a little on the bright side. br>You'll have to make sure the polarity is correct; I believe they're diode protected (1 or 2) but not fully rectified (4 diodes). br>I don't believe the difference between a blinker and a tail light is significant. The blinker/brake wires were connected to the two lights in the same way. I'm not sure if there's a difference in the brightness. br>I needed to use voltage to determine which wires needed to be connected to the positive and which needed to be connected to the negative. (I wouldn't know if it was industry standard coloring if there was no instruction or indication on the fixture itself)br>br>Personal situation: These take up less space than my old lights. br> Two or more new screw holes are created as a result. Furthermore, one of the new screw placements (which I chose) had the wires behind it (which I was concerned about causing a short). Finally, re-examine everything you've learned so far. The hole in my vehicle's sidewall was not completely covered by the use of two screw holes. Again, this is my personal situation, and your vehicle is likely to be different. To avoid or at least plan for these issues, check the measurements (provided in the part listing on Amazon) before ordering.
For the money, these are excellent lights. It would be nice if the stop/turn lights were a little brighter. In running light mode, they are extremely bright, but the difference between running and brake/turn signal is negligible. They said they couldn't tell the difference when I was being followed on a road trip. After my vacation, I supplemented these lights with two additional LED marker lights for brake/turn signals. I don't want to end up in the back of the line. They're inexpensive and attractive, but I'm sure there are better options available for a few dollars more.
