There is tension on both sides of the cover because of the springs. It is equipped with grommets of various sizes (metal eyes) on two sides. The springs are connected to the eyelets. To ensure the security of the cover, the springs add tension. You should measure your step and cut evenly on both sides in order to achieve a centered effect. This is a wonderful set of A sturdy design. They fit well on the step and are a good tight. Our tool was used to grasp the hook and hold it steadily to make sure it fit tightly in the grommet. This really cuts down on dirt tracking into RVs. There are no restrictions on folding steps. As of now I have only used these covers on one trip. They have endured the ride with no issues. They've been worth every penny so far. The product is excellent.

A piece of plastic is being sold for such a high price! Regardless of the photo, there are always two pieces to each image. There is only one piece in the ad, and I failed to read it Delete your photos and change them Put your product on display! It turns out I thought the total plus shipping was too much for two, when actually it was for one piece. I bet it only cost a dollar or two to make!.

We love their look, and they help keep the interior of our motor home free of dirt and debris. They were a little difficult to install, but that is the only complaint. Under the steps, the springs needed to be connected back to front were so tight that it required tools and a strong man.

The color and workmanship of the covers were good, they were easy to install, cost about the same as plain covers, and looked better than plain covers.
