In 1999, I was using a Damon 32 to work on our series. As far as the mechanic is concerned, all 32 series are compatible.
Thank you very much for waking me up, Our steps older than 1999 will not have replacements due to Kwikee being sold to Power Gear, and PG did not receive the technical information or details on how to replace the steps. In order to replace the whole step, it would have to be taken out.
My new unit attached to my 1995 Itasca Suncruiser in the same place as my old one did
It's all right. As for fitting your particular Thor, it is incorrect to say that this item is compatible with him In the year soon after the model year, Thor might have replaced a step model that had been discontinued. Look online for the owners/installation manual and determine which of the step models you're considering can be easily replaced with the one you're looking for. The reason I chose this replacement model was for that very reason.

Several years ago, I had problems with the series 32 on my 1999 Winnebago due to a faulty controller and worn-out There was one thing that really bothered me about this step its erratic behavior. My skin would come out as I drove, but when I wanted it to come out, it would wait until it was ready to come out. It was almost perfect plug and play, so it was the only option for me. I broke down and ordered it, despite not caring for the price. All that had to be done was to tap out a hole for the ground wire. I continued to use my existing magnet sensor since it still worked and since I like having spare parts, I plan to keep the one in the kit for future use. This may be what you need if you experience issues with your old Kwikee steps, I know it was for me. If you fail to resolve your issues using their troubleshooting resources on their website or YouTube, I am sure this will help you in some way.
It was easy to replace the motor and controller, everything lined up as it should have. Nevertheless, I spent the next few hours troubleshooting why it wouldn't work, and it turned out that I had to replace the Originally the old one seemed to work, but it is defective or the switch on the new one needs replaced (kit included). In the installation manual, you will find excellent step-by-step instructions This guide will walk you through troubleshooting the electrical part of the Taking the time to walk through that area to make sure all is in order before connecting the final wiring and sealing it up will make this process much more successful. As a result, I had to undo all my wiring connections to resolve the problem.
It took less than 20 minutes to install the replacement kit and worked as soon as I hooked up the power wire from Upon changing out the components of my steps, I found out that the power wire from the controller was so corroded that it split apart. Because I had already purchased the kit, I decided to just replace the unit and be trouble free with new components instead of keeping fixing the old unit. I have been very satisfied with the results.
A 2002 24" Kwikee that came on my 93 Fleetwood Pace Arrow needed to be replaced. This kit does the job! Make sure you replace the magnetic door switch that comes with the kit since the new switch operates in the opposite direction from the old (normally You are open). There are no problems with any functions anymore. This is a great alternative to buying a new step if yours isn't bent all Your savings could be hundreds of dollars!.
It was explained to me that this replacement kit wouldn't fit my 1997 Holiday Rambler because it is so old. However, I purchased it regardless of my doubt since I felt that My experience with the kit was excellent. It saved me having to buy a whole new step assembly, which generated significant cost savings for me.
Fast delivery was provided for the repair kit. I found the repair kit to be very reasonable in price and to have everything I needed in it. This solution cost far less than changing the entire automatic step unit, and it was a simple installation process. There was a new gearbox, controller, as well as all the necessary hardware and an instruction sheet that was easy to understand. It would have cost a local RV repair center more to just perform a diagnosis and prepare an estimate with the kit than with it!.
It arrived on time, was packaged well, and was in excellent condition when it was received. Installation is an easy process of removing and replacing. I was able to solve my problem with it, and it worked as advertised. In accordance with the design, the steps extend and retract.
A quality package is also crucial. A component of quality. The instructions are clear and comprehensive. It was not mentioned that the switch included in the contents list was also included, so I ordered the switch ($30) and accepted delivery before I found it in the It all worked out in the end Exactly what you need, and works really.
