"Zinc coated steel" is mentioned in the description. It is made entirely of wood, with the exception of the screws, which are made of steel. Every single thing is made of plastic. I would have given it a higher rating if it weren't for that. The spring appears to be a little thicker than the OEM, making latching a little more difficult. the main entry door should be opened. How well it holds up over time will be determined by the passage of time.
This eval also asks me to rate "sheerness" and "stretch. "br>br>It's a door latch, after all. br>br>Anyway, I ordered this using my old one, and it works perfectly.
Finally! An RV repair that is simple to fix. Everything appears to require the services of a mechanic, who is currently booked for several weeks. We purchased a used RV with a broken screen. It (re-)broke at long last. broke? ) and we were able to find a suitable replacement on Amazon. Now it's a whole lot better. Yea!.
OEM. The item is something I'd be interested in purchasing. With a tighter spring operation, this is an exact replacement. Wish it wasn't made of brittle plastic, but no one in the RV industry seems to make them out of a more durable, long-lasting material with a similar design. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with it. a good product that was exactly what I needed, and it was delivered on time.
The old spring-loaded finger pull type was replaced by the screen door latch, as described. br>Installation was simple and straightforward; just double-check your mounting location to ensure proper screen door latching. When you shut the main door, you don't want the screen door to latch. Only when the doors are separated does the screen door latch need to be engaged.
This was a direct replacement for the previous one, which had broken after r+ years of service. Because it is subject to abuse, I always keep a spare on hand.
Which is a waste of time. So; It'll work fine for a season before going out of business, just like the original!.
This is a good deal for a good product, and it's a lot better than the one that came with my Montana High Country 5th wheel!.
