They'll stay put on Texas beaches due to the clay/sand mix. If the sugar sand is from Alabama, I'd bring some sandbags with me for added stability in the event of a strong wind.
The "tension units" are long enough, but they don't "keep the ropes securely taut!" " I used light duty ratchet load binder straps with the stakes, and the stakes stayed in place despite some pretty strong winds.

Well, I don't usually start with the negative, but this time I'd like to get it out of the way: I've never been able to properly install cork screw anchors in the ground, and this was no exception. I spent about an hour and a half and two mud puddles just getting them halfway done. br>br>Other than that, everything went smoothly. I didn't recognize the knot they used, so I tied one I'm familiar with, and it's held up so far. After anchoring the awning and adding awning straps (to the middle of the awning) and allowing the mud to dry, I had high winds. We didn't have to heat the awning snapping any longer because the wind had lifted it; It was tearing at the seams, and I was worried it would tear at some point. Given that I wasn't able to get it all the way in, this did a good job!.
We would have lost our awning and suffered damage to our camper if they hadn't been on the awning. These are something I would recommend to anyone who wants to get the most out of their awning.
It keeps its shape well. I'm using grass to keep my awning in place. Even in 30 mph wind gusts, it hasn't stretched or come loose. It is extremely effective.
We use them for a variety of purposes as full-time RVers. When it's windy, it's a good idea to secure the awning. Sunbrella is being stabilized. Keeping the dog from going off on a tangent. The money was well spent.
These are a little lighter than I expected, but they do the job. They're essentially what you'd use to restrain a small dog. Fix it to the ground.
Sorry, it was one of the review questions, but they don't stretch.
Just what I needed for those windy camping days.
