My RV comes wired with an antenna booster, but the antenna itself does not require electricity to work and can easily be
Long range signals are delivered by an amplified antenna requiring 120v power. The antennas you pick up may work for a short period of time, but I doubt they will last
Ideally, the front of the antenna should be pointed to the broadcast towers because it is narrow with the elements on the front.
RV antennas are usually mounted on the roof of one of the vehicles

Having it professionally installed was a great decision. Camping doesn't give us a lot of television viewing time, but in about a 4 month period, we "tried" about 3 times to get channels to work. A number of adjustments were made to the antenna that allowed us to go from 1 to It's a 3 station story! In the same campgrounds, I got at least 20 signals with my old batwing antenna! As I discovered the antenna was spinning, I began to panic. RV dealership where the antenna was installed looked at the issue and concluded that there was a broken plastic tab that attaches the antenna to the crank assembly. There is no antenna head left on my car. Winegard contacted me to provide a warranty on the item, but they said I'd broken it by turning it too hard. That means my fault is the reason they won't give a warranty! I have been holding on to a couple of RVs for the past 20 years and have never broken an antenna. Then, all of a sudden, I've been super strong and can't use an antenna! The antennas at Winegard are junk!! I do not recommend buying them.
At its maximum height this would make the unit 12" tall. You can see how tall your RV air conditioning units are from here. For drilling the 1/4' mounting holes in the cut off tubes, first remove the original antenna, then make a template using a piece of cardboard to mark the spacing between the cut off tubes and where the mounting holes are to be drilled. If you follow this step, you can drill the new mounting holes for the locking pins and cut the tubes correctly. To use a hacksaw, a felt tip marker, a hand drill and a 1/4" bit, you need the following tools. This modification makes it possible for you to keep your antenna up all the time without being afraid of it ripping Even though it can be rotated 360 degrees, you can still use it.
I was really excited to finally get this job done. All these restrictions were in place. It cannot be within 25 inches of the front roof or 16 inches from the side. It can't be near anything that would obstruct it. I have It felt as if not much space had crept either forward or backward. It also needs a circular hole drilled through the roof of 1 1/4 inches in diameter. I have my panels mounted on a roof rack on lumber about 6" above the roof. With my right hand, I was only six inches away from turning. It has so many logistics that the company never mentioned it in the advertisement. We would think about mentioning if placement is restricted and holes need to be drilled. As well as being unable to return. On the roof, the dogs are in a box. The dogs are in the wrong!.
When I took the camper out for the first time, the antenna tube that turns the antenna broke. As I had told the customer service representative that it was 30 degrees the day the plastic part broke, they said it was probably a cooling issue. Technical support told her that since the lights were weather tested, they would not be able to power them on. Despite the antenna's age, it had only been installed two months ago. Initially, they thought I had run into something and the antenna was broken. It didn't happen like that, I assured them. The products I purchased from them are not worth recommending, nor will I purchase another from them.
Our 5-th wheel's previous one was knocked off while traveling down the road, so we purchased this one to replace it. Due to the fact that it came with wiring already installed, installation was very straightforward. The tape you need for under it and the sealant for the edges must be purchased. I no longer bring my DirectTV dish since we get great reception with this.
A very impressive performance even for stations located at fringe distances. Pointing is not very directional, but it is useful if the station is far away. It is easy to install, and it is nice not to have to deal with the ugly, old-fashioned crank any longer Get the rig up and running.
Yet again, we forgot to put it away. There is a superior reception out of this one compared with the one that was on our 1999 Cruiser. It provides good reception from the original mount, and we can probably get by without raising it to a higher place if there are any channels to be found ( when there are any). Do not wait for your antenna to go up in the air. If you're in the market for an upgrade, upgrade now!.
The picture is of the older version, which is what I was going for. This new version has a bigger square base and a different hole pattern than the previous one it is not an exact replacement of the older one. I succeeded in accomplishing my goal.
