Questions & Answers

Are there any additional bars sticking out of the last one?

They are each 7" long and 1" wide. The spars on which they are mounted stick out about 8 3/4" from the

Older Winegard antennas are compatible with this antenna. ?

A variety of Sensar antenna models manufactured after 1990 are compatible with this part. You will probably be able to use your current antenna if it has 3 or 4 rubber bumpers on the bottom. There will not be a problem if there are only two.

In 2005 I bought a wingard sensar iii antenna no longer in production. An old television that is just over three years old. Would you be able to send me an attachment that would allow it to pick up digital files?

Neither the TV nor the antenna decode a digital signal. The antenna only collects the analog signal that the TV then decodes for a digital signal. The wingman attachment for increased UHF signal strength will be supported by your antenna.

Do you mean adding the rv wing is the same as replacing the dTV/adTV head with the rvw395?

There is no way to tell what a RVW395 DTV/ADTV head does. As far as I can tell, adding a few extra components to my antenna made me eligible for more stations as well as improved my TV reception by 50%. As well as the additional booster head, make sure the A/C unit on the roof is not blocked. That was the case with mine.

My old RV TV antenna is connected to my Wingard adapter
5/5

of my existence antenna was a piece of cake getting the ladder out and setting it up was the most challenging section. Despite my expectations, I did not see an improvement in my TV reception. It worked in an area with a strong TV signal, so it wasn't much of a surprise if it added more signals. The designers must have done a good job because there are so many steps involved in using this adapter. As I recall from my training, factors such as signal strength, digital vs analog, terrain, distance from transmitter, and other obstructions affect the quality and reception of TV signals. Many variables are involved in receiving TV signals, and data and signals travel through the atmosphere differently than signals traveling through mountains. The cost of this adapter is low, and it is so easy to install that I think it is worth the purchase.

The installation was easy and the results were great! The number of HD and Analog channels we could view from our 5th wheel camper in central Florida rose dramatically as a result of this product
5/5

I wanted to avoid the expense of satellite or cable, so this was the better option. The initial channel scan takes place without RV A search for Wing led to the finding of only one local news channel. I was able to connect six HD stations as well as a local news station to my new satellite television system after the installation was extremely simple. The next channel scan found over 60 HD channels, including ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS. By turning the entire antenna slightly, the antenna was able to receive over 60 HD channels. I was surprised at how well it went!.

Worked like a charm! In the beginning, I did not trust the Winegard Wing
5/5

I found out, however, that the over-the-air TV reception is actually improved with this. In order to make use of the Wing's antenna, I stepped up the RV's antenna, and, using an online Digital TV reception map of our rural area, I turned the antenna toward the direction of the strongest signal. On the TV, I did a channel scan, which gave me 34 channels, each with a different reception strength. The channel numbers are listed below along with their approximate signal strengths. After installing the Wing, I finished up the project. As I did a new channel scan (using the same antenna position), I recorded the channel numbers and signal strengths once again. It was amazing how well the Wing did, the Wing pulled in 63 channels (almost twice as many as with out it), and also improved reception on several of the channels previously scanned. Due to the fact that no additional wires attach the Wing to the original antenna, I am unsure how it works. Yet I do remember (I'm so old! People adding coat hangers or aluminum foil to the "rabbit ears" antenna on top of their black and white TVs to improve reception the Wing could be a similar device. I highly recommend The Wing because it performed as it was advertised.

It's a good product, as one would expect from Winegard, but it's expensive
4/5

It isn't possible to measure the usefulness of this in a different way. It is surprising how easy it is to measure. While sitting in my driveway, I listened to the 14 stations I could easily pick up with my basic Winegard antenna they were all mostly in the 71- to 82-kHz range. I was told by my RV TV that the range was 74%. Here is an attachment that is basically just a set of directors for a pseudo-science fiction story The Yagi-mi A UDA antenna would be best All of the stations are now in the 82-90 MHz range This range is between 85% and 85%. It has done the two things I expected - I have no info about what it means in terms of signal strength and noise, but it does the 2) it gave me more choice in how I direct my antenna. It now takes a bit more tuning for any channel that does not point in the same general direction as it, and 2) it has improved signal quality and reduced dropouts when directed appropriately. The quality of the signal improved for me as a result of using this. It's a little pricey for me, so I'm really torn. The best part of my day is. . . I'm impressed by the Winegard work, and this one is no different. However, you have to pay a lot of money. In that case, the RV is worth the price of admission, especially if you watch a lot of TV from there. What if it doesn't? If you spend this much on beer, you can buy a lot.

I needed something like this
5/5

The harsh truth is that it is hard to tell whether or not a product like this added anything to the equation. As far as installation is concerned, I found it easy to do. In addition, I can say that during my last camping trip (1st time using it), I was able to receive about 10 more channels than the people next to me were able to receive. There is no way to tell for sure if my site/antenna was better positioned or whether it was this product. The difference was I had it while they did not.

A comparison of before and after is necessary
5/5

After running a channel scan, I found 27 channels before I put the wingman on. There are 1 channels in total I think 14 and 15 (ABC) were fine, but 15 In the CBS signal strength chart, channel 5 (CBS) had a signal strength of 36. I put the wingman on and did a one-by-one scan after mounting the wingman It was a good signal on 14 channels, and channel 5 (CBS) received a strength of 38. It was the channels 15 and higher that saw the greatest improvement. It was an absolute pleasure to watch Channel 15 (ABC). The only channel I had in Quartzsite, Arizona was 27n, but that may be all that is available. There is an improvement with wingman for channels 15 and above, according to the directions on the box. A small amount of change is made to channels 1 through 14. The $25 is worth it on the whole.

It's still too early to tell if it's effective
4/5

With an order of under $30 I was willing to give this a shot in my RV to bring in TV stations. About two minutes were required to install it. Three plastic push rivets were all that was needed for connecting them. As soon as the wind blows it away, I hope it isn't gone for good. I am not exactly knowledgeable about the workings of this device. As it turns out, it acts like a funnel for the waves of television. The system is purely passive, so you should point it at the towers. There is no wired connection, so the system is 100% passive. I didn't notice a difference, well at least I tried not to notice one. It may have just not been right for me at this point. Maybe it works in another location since Winegard says that it will work in this location as well. It's hard to find a more reputable RV antenna retailer than these guys. Keeping it in case it turns out to be useful.

The installation takes just five minutes and involves a clip
5/5

Reception of iffy UHF stations has been greatly improved using this reflector. A new one would be purchased in a matter of minutes if I lost mine. Be aware of what this does if you plan to purchase. In the case of channel 2, it has no effect There is no way to make an image out of This will allow many UHF stations to transmit on channels 14 to 16 You might have trouble tuning the channels in case you have pixelation or a hard time spotting them precisely. The information in this article would have been useful a year or two ago.
