it did take some time to install since I had to install a steel base for the magnetic base to attach to. My amplifier needs to be connected to a USB port near the area where my TV is mounted once the installation is complete. After much waiting, all of the pieces came together, and the unit did produce great pictures with no manual cranking or directing of the camera as with the Winegard. This happened in Kallispell Montana, then my daughter and I drove the RV to Coram Montana near Glacier National When I had an old winegard at her home, I had 2 channels. This unit had zero Well, it would have been better if it was near metro stations. When I was driving to Idaho from Idaho, I was driving at 60mph with a head wind of about 10 mph on US2 toward Libby Almost exactly an hour after that, I heard a bong on the roof - He checked the roof to find that the annenta had been lifted from the plate and had become detached with the cable due to the wind The wind has taken us away. It was never mentioned in the company instructions whether additional fasteners or tithers are needed. What you've said is unacceptable to me. There should have been more tie downs indicated in the instructions if wind is an issue.

In our little teardrop there is no built-in antenna, but it has a television and cable connection. Watching TV with my husband at night is his favorite pastime. I am pulling more than 50 stations with it for the first time. There is a city about 30 miles from where we are camping. This is an extremely easy installation. The cable must be plugged into a cable port and a channel scan must be done. The magnetic base of the device allowed us to simply stick it to our car.

It may be the first time I have written a Unfortunately, I was too lazy to check, but I must say this product worked well. My motorhome was fitted with this antenna in place of the analog The distance to Boston is about 60 miles as the crow flies from where I am parked on Cape Cod. All of the Boston TV channels are picked up in crystal clear sound. A splitter was used to power it and I power the TV simultaneously with it. It is working excellently and I would highly recommend it.

It is attached to the roof by a chain

My first observation was that the antenna was missing a hole from the base to screw through to the roof when I removed it from the box. Apparently, the antenna would be mounted on the roof of the RV with the help of the magnet at its base. It is not uncommon for RV roofs to be constructed from fiberglass or aluminum, with the exception of "camper vans". You cannot attract a magnet with anything you do. It is my experience that I have never seen a magnetic material roof on an RV since 1969. This type of poorly made/engineered junk will certainly have a negative impact on Amazon's reputation if they continue to sell it. The magnetic base had to be improvised and self leveling glue sealer had to be used to install permanently on the It would be safer if it was mounted with hardware. It is not possible to magnetize all RV roofs.
