It was the magnetic mount base that made me decide to buy this antenna. I'm not magnetic, I'm supposed to attach to a plastic base with four screws, not a magnetic base. In the case of HIDB, I and Amazon were unable to get a response. Since their products aren't as described and there has been no response from Amazon, it's time for them to remove it from HIDB and all of their products. Although Amazon freed me of the hassle of returning the item, it was an irritating process.
There are a lot of channels picked up by this receiver. Only got 1 star because the cable was in the middle, not in the center as it appeared in the image.
I do not give this a star. Originally, it was meant to attach to a trailer roof with a magnetic base. That's not the case! The roof needs to have holes drilled into it to mount the sensor. There is no such thing as what they claim. This was returned to the sender.
The antenna was great until it went flying off down Highway 95. It is easy to erect, very nice antenna, and picture quality was fantastic. The magnet you placed in the camper may not work, so take it out before traveling and leave it there.
With the base gone, I could do without it. A piece of 1/4" plexiglass was used as a mounting surface. In my camper, I sunk the antenna into a hole so that it sticks out of the back. There is a lesser amount of sticking up than A 12K population downtown neighborhood of Newport, Oregon (about 23 channels) offers great television options. There are a lot of channels coming in, so I had to show a friend. The picture and sound are excellent.
Easy-to-install magnetic base that lets you attach this to any magnetic surface, plus the antenna booster gives us more channels to pick up with our camper's TV.
Having an omnidirectional antenna, it can never zero in on one direction, I'm 60 miles from the transmitters and have only picked up one station a directional antenna picks up 30 I ordered the magnetic one and they sent the one that screws in and mounts permanently.
