Questions & Answers

Are these appropriate for use underwater, for example, on pond liners?

It would be better if I found an alternate My rubber membrane roof was taped with this tape, and after 2 years rainwater had dissolved the adhesive, causing pockets to form beneath You may be endangering the health of your fish if you use adhesive in your pond.

There is a problem with the bonding of the tape. There is a pliable feel to it, and it moves around like the glue has not yet Ours is the first year we have been using it. ?

First you need to weather the surface. We waited a year, but we should have waited less. If you want the tape to adhere well, you must apply it in very warm conditions.

Can you tell me what color it is?

This product can be used on surfaces other than roofs in place of duct tape? What are the benefits of using it over duct tape in a harsh environment such as the sun and freezing temperatures?

I am sure duct tape will last much longer than this. It is important to clean the area where you apply it, and to press it on very hard

Very good
5/5

Granulates are applied to damaged roofs to granulate them and seal them. During the summer twenty years were spent under the sun. There are some small puddles on the roof due to the low slope. I have edited page 10 of the text. This year You can buy this from Automotive Authority for about $10 less. A rolled up, clean (unwrapped) product is what you get. Genuine Eternabond tape, from what I can tell. I requested a refund, but the roll diameter is 1/4" smaller than the retail version. This is why I'm trying to return it, even though the seller insists it is the same. It is misleading for the seller to use a retail version photo and ride on high review ratings, when in fact the bulk version is being sold. I find it a bit hard to believe that machine rolled tape can be so short as to be as much as 1/4 The retail price I will pay for assurance will even be the same if bulk length is the same. I have edited The Automotive Authority negotiated free return shipping for the bulk tape and sent me retail tape in return. This seller deserves kudos for it's commitment to excellence in customer service. The seller of the item is now someone else. If you could tell me what you are getting, I would check it out. FYI, the retail roll had a full 1/4 inch more.

My team and I are pretty stupid, but I think this product saved us from disaster There is a problem with the Is there a reason why there is so much flat roof space? My guess is that the contractor ran out of money or something, so a flat roof became the best option
5/5

Our home is in the Northeast and the heavy snowfall this year led to over 3 feet of snowfall. Over 1000 feet of flat roof, there is 5 feet of snow. The weight of the thing worried us, so we shoveled it out the window. Snow had accumulated in the snow for 3 months and it had a good chunk of ice in it. Listed below are some of our dumbest mistakes Using a shovel to break the ice and a shovel to scoop it off, we removed the ice. A small tear even occurred in some areas of the membrane as a result of the punctures. I purchased this product because my parents have had a roofer come in to repair the roof every year for the past three years for about $1k each time. I read lots of really good online reviews about this product, and RV people are the most knowledgeable reviewers I've found. What an odd thing, huh? Probably they need a lot of maintenance, or maybe they're just older people who know more about them. We can only speculate about that. got on the roof again after removing the rubber roller from the roof, buying denatured alcohol from the hardware store, and it went down smoothly. In order to clean the area further, I rubbed some denatured alcohol on it after wiping it down with water. Afterward, I wiped it off pretty quickly and lightly sanded the area with a medium-high grit sandpaper, just to give the area some texture. Once that was done, I applied the tape and applied another wipe with the rag that cleaned the alcohol off. In my opinion, I would recommend a steel roller, as I did not feel like I was getting the kind of pressure I needed from a After rolling my heart out until I saw a bit of glue oozing out past the edge of the tape, I was amazed. It was so cold that I only used my heat gun for a few seconds over the area, and rolled a little So far, so good we've had a couple of rain storms and nothing is coming (not that we've had a problem yet, but we wanted to be proactive like with the shovel). My inspections of them have been fairly regular, and they seem to hold. It would take another snowstorm to determine whether this is a true test, but I don't think I'll wish for it. I am also interested in seeing how well it holds up in the heat of summer. The roof is black (as is the tape) and the summer heat is very intense. I may have to sew some seams just in case since I still have a lot left.

A ponding water problem on EPDM roofs is repaired
3/5

There is ponding water on the roof of a commercial building. A 4" x 8' black Eternabond roofseal was applied to a 60 mil black EPDM split seam, but it lasted only three years before it broke. A few things that contribute to a short lifespan are ponding water, expanding and contracting, a width of 4" too narrow, and a black color (white lasts longer, reflects A LESSON LEARNED IS, if you want a flat roof permanently repaired or a roof with ponding water, go with the traditional way of repairing it. A cover tape, primer, and cleaner are necessary. I plan to cut open the hole, level it up (no ponding water), and cover the tape if cleanable or with two layers of double sided tape and I hope you find it helpful.

This patch tape is great for EPDM pueblo style flat roofs
5/5

I can't believe how amazing this stuff is. Having a pueblo style flat roof started leaking from around the drain hole on my garage. A similar issue had been fixed before with some type of rubber and duct tape, that's why I didn't have an issue earlier. This roof is made up of EPDM, and I cleaned it with a gloss pad, applied surface cleaner, and applied it with a clothes dryer. Make sure not to stretch the tape as you are laying it down, this will cause it not to hold. The solar panel has been able to make it through ten inches of snow at 25°F and subsequent melting. When it's time to update at the end of the summer, I'll try to remember.

A roof seal manufactured by Eternabond
5/5

As a result of my husband getting tired of constantly re-installing end caps and nose caps on our RV, we just put this in place It is a good idea to caulk In the meantime, so far so good. I'll revisit this post later to update it if anything Having skylights and slide out areas covered with them is my next order.

Eternabond is my favorite game
3/5

Normally I would have given it a 5 star rating, but the color they sent was the wrong one. Having used eternalbond on campers for years, I know how effective it is. I really like how it sticks and lasts a long time. The only time I'd seen this trailer was in white, so when I bought a black one, I was shocked at how black it was. As far as I can tell, I was disappointed when the box arrived white. Nevertheless, I had no option but to use it since I needed a roof repair. The fix worked great and now I don't have a leak, but it looks a little odd.

This stuff is amazing for waterproofing
5/5

Buy it! I have become a huge fan of white eternabond after revealing my RV roof with the product 4 years ago. There were no failures of the adhesive during the baking process in Colorado. The sealant I used to seal the outside seams on my deck membrane is so durable I sealed the outside with it as well. Posts and seams are reinforced with tape. In addition to adhering well to EPDM, it also adhered well to metal flashings. Thankfully, it stuck to wet pressure treatment as well (although I expect that it will not be long lasting). This is a great product, worth every penny for its durability and ease of use.

The customer was very happy with the service
5/5

The leak appears to be stopped in our motor home at last! Before applying this roof sealer tape over the original cracked area, we had tried several different products and even resealed the entire roof. Nothing worked until we applied this roofing tape. Just in case, we had enough sealant to cover around the skylights and vents as well. I am very pleased with my purchase!.
