I wouldn't recommend it if you have a lot of cracks. A product that can be painted on the roof and used to repair multiple cracks is available.
Silicone caulk from Home Depot contains chalk, which will dry out and release from the material over time. Too many people make this mistake, which results in the unsightly yellowing of the skin.
If it's dry, I've successfully removed the majority of it with a straight-edged razor. The rest is easily removed with a slot screwdriver and Goof Off- OR if it hasn't completely dried. (However, many plastics will be ruined by Goof Off; It works well on glass, fiberglas, metal, and other similar surfaces. Goo Gone is also effective (though it requires a lot more elbow grease), and it's safe to use on plastic. I'm also going to put a plug in for this sealant. I've tried a variety of caulks, and this one outperforms any that only require soap. as well as the cleanup of the water Best wishes to you.
Yes, but I'm not sure I'd put my faith in it solely. It acts as a glue.

It was a big job that took a long time, and the caulk had to be defective because it never dried or hardened completely. On the first trip we took after finishing the caulking, it actually attracted dust and dirt. It appeared to be filthy. The dust/dirt would not come out with washing, and it looked terrible. We were so discouraged that we began looking for a much better product, and when we found it, we decided to remove all of the caulk once more! To completely remove the old caulk, we had to use alcohol. While we were applying it, it was almost dry! We had to work very quickly, which can be challenging in and of itself, but by this point. . . We've honed our caulking skills to an art form! D We finished in record time, and the RV has never looked so good. On the trips we've taken since the caulk was applied, it didn't attract or hold dust/dirt. We will only use this product in the future. It comes highly recommended from us!.
I used the product to repair several cracked joints on our popup camper today (5/2/20) and was very pleased with the results and ease of use. br>br>To do this, I cut/peeled away the majority of the old material and cleaned the area in and around where I was applying new material with mineral spirits. I used a gloved finger dipped in mineral spirits to toole the bead. This worked extremely well, and the joints appear to be in good condition (see photos). I basically just followed the manufacturer's instructions (I'm not sure why other reviewers were having trouble tooling this stuff). br>br>I'll report back next year if the sealant fails prematurely, but so far it appears to be very similar to the factory sealant.
Re-sealing seams with this. It specifically states that it should not be used on an epdm roof. It's silky smooth and simple to use. If you use tape to create a clean edge, you will almost certainly end up with a small lip when you remove the tape. With a little water poured on it (yes, wet), you can "pat down" the edges with your finger for a smooth, nice finish. However, avoid running your fingers along the seam. It'll mess it up and make it look bad. Just pat.
I smoothed out the caulking with a small spray bottle filled with mineral spirits. This method resulted in a bead that was extremely smooth and uniform. Mineral spirits, by the way, were recommended by Geocel. TIP: Cutting the caulking tip as small as possible is a good way to get a good caulking job.
By hammering the nail into the tube's opening, you can use it. First - Second, this RV gel adheres to the fiberglass surfaces I've used it on (clean and dry, of course) and seals well. br> I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to drive a nail through the open end, and then when I needed this gel again, it came out just like the first (and second) time; I've used this for small jobs, and it's nice to have the gel come out for those subsequent tasks (when I've done this with silicon caulk, it often hardens and won't come out through the opening). This purchase has satisfied me.
I've tried 100% silicone and the residential caulk you can get at Lowes and they all show dirt after a short time and this caulk has proven to be a longer term Mineral spirits are used to remove old caulk and to help spread the new caulk into a thin bead.
This caulk works well for me when I don't want self-leveling. It works well with a nitrate glove and a little mineral spirits. I've used it on various motorhomes in the past, but when I couldn't find this brand, I found a similar one at most local RV stores that I replaced it with. This newer brand didn't fare as well in our Florida sun, so we went back to the old standby and ordered it.
Since being applied last winter, all of my seams have shrunk, leaving large cracks that will necessitate a re-do with a different brand; what a waste. This was done in the best possible conditions and according to the instructions.
