It hasn't succeeded despite its best efforts.
Selected User Reviews For Dicor Corporation RP-RG-1GL Rubber Roof Protectant Gallon
It did not feel slick after application, as some other reviews have stated. My roof might be past its prime. I didn't want to degrade it too much because it was a Dicor product. Their other products have always left me wanting more. It's difficult to say whether or not it's worthwhile to apply this sealer without comparing it to one that does not. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> It was difficult to tell if my first RV was still working because it was over ten years old and a little chalky. It is possible that it has already been harmed. Now that I have a new one, we'll see how well it protects us. However, it also states that you should apply once a month. That's not going to happen, I don't think. I wash the roof three times a year as a full-timer, and after each wash, I apply Roof Gard. I've only had this RV for a little over a year, but it's started to lose its bright white appearance, even under the solar panels, so hopefully it's just aging and not UV damage. I used it on my black fender skirt, and unlike a white roof, it leaves a visible white film. br>When dealing with protectants, you're at the mercy of the manufacturer to ensure that they've been thoroughly tested over a reasonable period of time; Dicor is a reputable company, so I'm hoping for the best and will report back with any updates.
I cleaned everything before using it and applied it correctly, but there was no difference. On the label, it also states that this should be done every three days. 5 weeks. I don't think it's worth the money or the effort. I gave it three stars because I'm not sure if it's actually doing anything.
It appears to be creamy water, and there is no discernible difference after drying. It appears that I simply sprayed the roof with water and waited for it to evaporate. I don't believe there is much sun protection. If you have money to throw away, I'd buy this product; otherwise, if you want something that is of good quality, look elsewhere.
Because the "Protect All 68128" I had previously used was $90 per gallon at the time I needed it, I decided to purchase this type. It's now hovering around $40. Why not try something different?br>br>This product is thinner than the "Protect All" product I've used in the past and will use again next time; it may work just as well, but the thicker product seems to work better in this case.
Following the roof cleaning, this product is simple to use. I waited until the sun was setting to get indirect sunlight and avoid overheating the surface. It applies smoothly and easily with minimal mess. I used a garden sprayer and a large auto cleaning sponge to apply it.
This is a product that I will purchase again. I waited a year before writing this review to see how well it held up. It's an excellent piece. This is a product that I will purchase again. I'm very happy.
This is by far the most effective roof protector I've ever used. It's something I do once a year and it lasts the entire year. We have severe weather in the northeast, especially in the winter, but this keeps the roof on my trailer looking new. It comes highly recommended from me!.
br>br>I was looking because during the purchase of our RV, the Service guy admitted to cleaning the rubber membrane of the roof on the RV's, but only talked about a sealer. After some research, I discovered that sealing it is a bad idea and that keeping it clean and protected is the best option. br>br>To put it another way, this stuff made a five-year-old roof look as new as possible. It performs admirably.
