Questions & Answers

For a 31-foot class C motor home, how many gallons of cleaner and sealer do I need?

I purchased 128ox btl and poured some into a spray bottle. My 24 foot trailer's wet roof was sprayed. Scrubbed with a brush in 4 to 4 ft squares that are manageable. It was thoroughly cleaned, and there was enough left over for two or three more applications.

What is the coverage provided by a gallon?

With one bottle, I can wash my 19-foot trailer three or four times. I have a long way to go. Once a year, I clean mine.

Is there any UV protection in this product?

This is a cleaner, not a protectant (though it does an excellent job). UV protection is available in other Dicor products (e.g., RP- Dicor Corporation Dicor Corporation Dicor Corporation Dicor Corporation Dicor Corporation Di Rubber Roof Protectant (1 GL). Just make sure it fits the composition of your roof.

What exactly are the product's ingredients?

I'm afraid I don't have any more to check the ingredients with.

$30 for a high-priced water-and-soap solution
3/5

My wife is a chemist, so we double-checked the solution, which consisted mostly of water and soap. I was hoping for a special chemical to kill mold and other bacteria, but there wasn't any. You've been duped into paying $30 for a bucket of water and soap. Unless you know what you're doing, don't give 5 stars.

After just one pass, I'm not impressed
3/5

This was purchased for use in our new camper, which we purchased in April of this year. I was excited to try this product to get rid of moldy looking spots because I had previously washed the camper rood with just water and a soft brush, not really cleaning it, but removing dirt; however, after spending 2 hours scrubbing away, this product seemed to remove no more than water and a brush. Water and dish soap would have sufficed. I chose this product based on other people's positive feedback and the fact that I needed something specifically designed for rubber roofs. I now feel as if I've squandered $30. Over my 21' roof, I used nearly 32 oz (from the jug into a spray bottle). I was scrubbing with a soft bristle brush on my hands and knees. I made sure to work in small sections at a time, using just enough to create a foamy/soapy mixture. However, it did not remove the black spots as I had hoped, and it also did not make the rest of the roof shine bright white. I'm going to go out again when we get another nice day and give it another go, but I have almost no faith that this will work. If it does change, I'll update this review, but if it doesn't, I'll keep the original rating of two stars and move on to something else. If you decide to use this product, I recommend purchasing the smallest amount possible and trying it out before purchasing a large bottle!.

It's a good cleaner
5/5

This is what I used on the rubber roof of my camper. Last year, I used a pressure washer to clean it and was dissatisfied with the results. This stuff was simple to use; I followed the instructions and applied it with a brush in 3' X 3' sections at a time, and it worked great. When you're finished, make sure to clean the sides of the camper. It loosens the soil a lot, and it runs down the sides of the camper when you rinse it off.

It was disappointing
3/5

In February of 2021, our trailer was ready to leave the factory. The 23rd of April was the date when we picked it up. On August 14, I went up the ladder to inspect the roof and found it to be quite filthy. Then I sprayed 50% conc purple power and used a scrubbing pad to clean it. I tried car wash solution to clean it, little effect. Then I sprayed 50% conc purple power and A little more sanitary. Then, using the same scrubbing pad, I ordered Dicor rubber roof cleaner. Surface dirt was removed, but deep stains remained. SoftScrub applied to a stiff bristle brush, scrubbed, and allowed to set for 15 minutes before rinsing was the solution that finally worked. In each area, this was done three times. So while the Dicor product is good for keeping a clean roof clean, it won't remove stains from a white rubber roof that hasn't been cleaned in six months.

For TPO/rubber roofs, use a mostly stiff brush
5/5

Our Grand Design RV has a rubber/TPO roof that has developed a layer of black crud over the years. When it came to cleaning, I found this material to be extremely effective. When applied, I discovered that it is not slippery, making it safe to move around on the roof while cleaning. I had to scrub this in with a brush that didn't have a handle while on my knees. It's fantastic! Is there a way to make the roof look brand new? That ship had already set sail. It does, however, clean it up nicely, and I simply hosed it down afterwards.

Roof was nicely cleaned
5/5

Roof was washed with a mild soap and bleach solution. Although the loose dirt had been removed, the roof still appeared to be dirty. I used Dicor Rubber Roof Cleaner and a scrub brush to clean the roof. The roof was very clean after a lot of scrubbing. A 32-foot fifth-wheel trailer was used to test the product. I used about two-thirds of a gallon, and scrubbing with a hand brush took about three hours. Despite keeping the sides wet while cleaning the roof, the cleaner left white streaks on the trailer's sides. Following the roof cleaning, I had to wash the trailer. It was simple to remove the streaks. Following the cleaning, there was a white residue on the hose and the ground. Overall, the product performed admirably, but expect a lot of scrubbing to remove embedded dirt from the roof, as well as a subsequent wash of the trailer to remove the streaking.

Spending money is a waste
3/5

Don't waste your money on this overpriced product that still doesn't work after the second application. Soapy water will do the job just as well. br>I also purchased the dicor sealer that was recommended, and I was not impressed.

It was a success
5/5

To make, I had to wait a year to review. It was a success. I waited a year before reviewing it to make sure it worked as expected when combined with Dicor rubber roof protectant. It did. This is a product that I will repurchase.
