This fluid was purchased for my 2013 RAM 1500 with the BW 44-inch wheels. This is the only fluid that will work on it. According to the service manual, 1. Capacity: 4 liters (3 pints). That's how long mine lasted, so get two bottles and you'll have some leftover. If you know what you're doing, this is a relatively simple task. The time limit is 20 minutes.
It's all good. The BW44- requires only 2 quarts of water. This stuff stinks to high heaven. I wish they were less expensive or that there was a no-risk aftermarket alternative. It appeared that the change of 30k miles was made too soon. For the next time, it's better to stick with the 60k book recommendation.
44 Change the fluid in the transfer case (4WD automatic). Anyone who is in charge of borg-related operations should read this. 44-Warner 4 t-case (t-case) In the case of an automatic 4WD vehicle, this is not the case. The fluid is blue, and it's the only one available right now.
The only brand available to replace the transfer case fluid in the Borg Warner unit is this one, but it is the factory brand, so I can't complain. On a per-quart basis, the price is still a bit high.
There are 44 transfer cases. The fluid is the same color as the original. It's a reddish-brown color, similar to trans fluid.
I emptied the transfer case and replaced it with this. The RAM pickup can only use this fluid.
It is pricey, but it is required to be used for warranty purposes.
Everything is fine, thank you.
