With the new bushings, I can shift from park to drive without any damage, only thing is, the shifter still has some play to it, maybe I will need to replace something else, but for now my truck runs great. It is a 2001 4 wheel drive truck.
Please forgive me for not being able to find this It has been a few days since I moved overseas and my house hold shipment hasn't My 98 4 Runner Llimzrd A/T was able to use these bushings. Neither my shifter nor my shifting mechanism has a play in it from side to side, no longer It was necessary for four of these bushings to be purchased, so I made a second order and replaced them all together. This saved me a lot of money over ordering them through my Toyota Dealership. The OEMs on my car were plastic as well they cracked and shattered over time. Their pieces were scattered all over the place. There wasn't a lot of the originals left I definitely made the right decision to buy this product. With the new shifter, my car doesn't shake when I drive, and I am less worried that it will fall out of gear when I am
You should be able to use it on 1985-2002 4runners

Recent purchase of a 2002 4Runner and have been having issues getting the shifter assembly to engage the ignition interlock switch consistently. It may be that the shift lever is in Park, but the ignition switch cannot be turned off completely / the key cannot be released unless the switch on the lever that detects Park is engaged. When I disassembled the vehicle, I found that the factory bushings had been worn down over the previous 17 years, causing the shift handle / lever to wobble side to side, causing the pin underneath the trim panel to almost touch the hook slot in the Note
Tip If this is the case, a temporary solution is to push the shift lever firmly toward the right footwell while shifting from Drive to Park. Installation went smoothly. When you know how to use a trim tool, screwdriver, socket/ratchet, combination wrench, and if you can either a) keep track of where each screw goes, or b) take pictures while you disassemble, this is very straightforward. The following other tip is also useful Invest in a dash cam or action camera and wear it on your head to record what you see and do If you get stuck during assembly or get lost, you can refer to the footage for assistance. I did not have to wait more than 30 minutes to install this product, since it is as advertised and fixed my problem. I was unable to get the vehicle to detect that it was parked and that it was in drive because two of the factory shift assembly bushings were worn down over years of use. You can now release the.
It was noticeable the first time I drove my 4Runner that it had a loose shifter. A second 4Runner has been purchased by me. Within a few days of buying them, I replaced these worn and discolored parts. By improving the overall look and feel of the vehicle, it makes it feel considerably Getting this problem fixed is a no-brainer and a simple fix. There are instructions on YouTube, and they are simple to follow. Keep your eyes on the safety sign. If you are removing the shifter, the wheels should be chalked so the vehicle won't roll while you are removing it.
The only problem I have is the price. They are just too expensive. A couple of small plastic bushings no bigger I did however find that they worked fine on my 1997 4Runner The engine is a 4L SR5. The vehicle is There is no play at all in the transmission shifter, as if it were Considering the cost of making a part that costs 50 cents, the price is outrageous.
It's just a matter of picking it You'll need 30 minutes for this. There are a number of videos on YouTube that walk you through the process. It would have been better if I had.
To fix the shifter slop on my 1994 Lexus LS400, I used these parts. They worked without a hitch. They are easy to insert and firm enough to feel good. These are great for emergency situations, so you should definitely use.
Ordered these hoping they would fix my loose shifter, but they didn't. Obviously, it may not have been the manufacturer's fault, but they were pretty pricey for two bushings, and two of them did not fix the problem at all.
He opened up the shift shifter handle bar to see that the bushings were all broken, and the loose shift shifter handle bar was the root cause of the problem. The problem has now been corrected since the parts were replaced. It's great that this product works!.
