Product Description

You have the option of setting the converter lock-up based on your vehicle speed (30 to 90 mph)

Control unit with on/off switch and lock-up speed selector knob mounted on the dash. An LED indicates whether the converter is locked or unlocked.

Select automatic transmissions come with a lockup converter and an electronic speedometer with a pulse rate of 40ppm

This kit includes a switch box, wiring, and other parts, but it cannot be sold or used on any vehicle that has an emission control system.

This product is backed by a manufacturer's warranty for one year

As I mentioned, I have a I believe that this item should be on your wish list. Dakota Digital was included in the Speedo wire kit and I did not need to purchase it. There is a box near the dash where your Dakota Digital speedometer connects so the speed wire should be long enough to hook the Black wire to the Speed Send wire if your transmission has an OE Electronic Speedometer with The first time I test drove it I just left it be. Your speedometer may not work once it has been wired up. You must reverse the red and white wires.

The exact thing I was looking for

This is what I'm using in my Chevelle with the 700 R4. As of this moment, I have not installed it, but it looks like it should do the trick in locking up my converter for highway driving. I was told to get this control switch by my transmission guy because it got a lot of positive reviews. I'm eager to get the system up and running.

I have not installed the transmission yet in my truck, but after reading the instructions, I was disappointed to find out it requires a B&K fixture as well On my GM 200 R4 transmission, I would need to remove the transmission pan in order to remove a ball valve which can only be accessed via a M kit. In case of transmission re-transmission If the pan has been removed and the transmission altered, the builder will not honor the warranty. I would not have made this purchase if I had known.
