There may have been a 3-month expiration date on the product I have had a popping noise on the steering wheel over the past 4 months. Typical symptom of a defective CV axle. My worries were confirmed when I called the manufacturer and was interrogated, making me think the popping noise came from somewhere else. During my conversation, I told the representative I heard the popping noise coming from the axle. I work on cars, so I am familiar with the mechanics involved. It appeared that the representative was frustrated as he had run out of things to say. I was asked for my order number and told that someone from Amazon would be in touch with me about As well, I did not get a confirmation. The experience has been very disappointing and I will consider buying auto parts of that nature from another company.
The 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71 is an excellent fit and drives well. Compared it with ACDelco and saved a ton! To remove the old CV joint and install a new one, remove the stabilizer bar linkage and lower bolt on shock, then remove the old CV joint. To get the right angle for installation, use a jack to move the steering knuckle up and down.
Winter of 2019 was the time to install the CV axle on the drivers side. Since I purchased the axle, I have put nearly 4,000 miles on it. There was probably no more than 20 miles in total with the 4x4 set to automatic. The vibration and clicking started last weekend, mostly when I was turning the wheel at low speeds. Upon inspecting the components on my front end, I found that the u joint has approximately 1/4" of movement up and down. The axles are only worth what they are worth in scrap metal. I understand that the part is a cheap one. This purchase left me very disappointed.
Put me in the category of those people who had some people throw an axle into a giant box, slap a sticker on it, and call The impact took a hard enough blow (just like others) for me to push the ujoint out of the grease cap, and I had more grease in my CV than in the box. The tube I have to repack this is all I have, but this is awful. I should have known better, I'll stick to Rock Auto for my auto parts and just pay for shipping to avoid having to fix new ones.
Sadly, here we are just six months later, and not one but two of the boots are torn, spewing grease in my wheel wells and wheels. As of August 1, 2017, the originals with 188k miles and 13 years still had intact boots This shoe's boots are of a poor quality that cannot be tolerated. I am thankful that the axles are still there, so I will return them to their rightful place and toss this lot out. There's a dumpster in the yard!.
We took them through the worst ice, mud, water holes, and mud this year, and they held up quite A very good driving experience is also had on the pavement. Normally I would give 5 stars, but they sent 1 in a nearly destroyed package, so I would have given them 4 stars.
A lot of the shops in the area carry "New Designs" but do not carry the original designs. I am very pleased with how this turned out. According to my testing, the density corresponds to a higher level of toughness. The difference isn't great, but enough to make the needle fly. It doesn't matter if there are noticable defects - it's a good part as long as there are no detectable defects. My assessment of the density test is you shouldn't have to worry about Having been machined to a good finish, it does not have any process start or The shipment was received earlier than expected.
During the summer of 2005 I ordered axles for both sides of my It took exactly one year for them to start leaking grease from both boots after one year. The Cardone Select axles are supposed to come with lifetime warranties. I was expecting something like that. I'll modify stars after the RMAA is completed.
