Ford Superduty (2005 model year) - This cover is identical to the Ford one, but it's half the price, and it's not listed as fitting my application. The only reason it's listed that way is because longer mounting bolts are required. According to most studies, you should use 1. With a grip range of 25 inches, I used 1 inch bolts. (5/16- 18) I paid less than $5 for a bag.
On a 2012 F350 SRW 10, it was a perfect fit. I upgraded to version 4. When towing, I wanted to keep the heat down so I went with 56 gears. I bought some Grade 8 Coarse Hex Cap Screws, 5/16-Inch, to replace my factory stamped cover. 18 x 1- 1/4- With the addition of an inch and washers, it was able to fit perfectly. There's also enough material to drill, ream, and tap a 1/8" NPT temp sensor into the lower right corner. I bought a reusable Lubelocker gasket, which fits perfectly with this cover and eliminates the need for RTV. Keep in mind that the aluminum cover's torque specs are lower than the steel cover's, at 24 ft lb.
This cover, as stated by other reviewers, fits the 10. 25 is the perfect number. I used the Lube Locker gasket and installed this on my 1994 F250. Bolts that are 25 inches long While I could estimate an increase of 100 horsepower and 15 miles per gallon, the reality is that this is a great replacement cover when your original is damaged or rusted through, as mine was, and it also looks good. The casting's rigidity also ensures that the cover's sealing surface remains flat and does not warp like a stamped steel cover.
This cover was extremely comfortable to wear and appeared to be of excellent quality. The hardware was purchased from a nearby store. This item comes highly recommended.
Used with Lucas lube in the 2011 Ford F-350 rear differential. So far, they've done an excellent job of keeping my differential at least 10 degrees cooler, and in some cases, even up to 20 degrees cooler. All you need to do now is purchase a longer one. 5/16-inch-thickness-thickness-thickness-thick 18 bolts.
The cover is designed to fit Ford's 250-series pickup trucks. It is cut for an o-ring on 350-2016 rear differentials. The cover did not come with a ring type seal, though.
It Wasn't a Good Fit - Despite the fact that it appeared to be a match for my 2001 Ford E150, the cover was not the correct one. The item was of good quality; however, it was aggravating to remove the old cover, remove the oil, and then discover that it was an inch too narrow. Not by a long shot. In addition, longer bolts are required than the original stock bolts.
It was a perfect fit for our 2015 F250. It would be nice if it came with the longer bolts that are required when replacing the factory differential cover.
