Currently bedding in this clutch, but so far (350 miles), it has proven to be far superior to the rhino pak clutch it is Cummins used the Chevy style flywheel which is nice and grippy while still engaging smoothly thanks to the bolt pattern matching the Chevrolet style flywheel they used behind their 4bt engines. Since the engine only ever spins up to 3200 revs, I am not sure how much performance enhancing the centrifugal weights are. However, I have never slipped it regardless of how high the engine revs are. A 3200 rpm governor spring has been installed on the 5x. Turbocharger with 12 injectors and a 30W HX30.
It seems that the matching feature for parts to cars produced false results for me. In this clutch, the disc measures 12" in diameter, and the pressure plate is even wider. Since I own a 2002 Camaro SS, I have an 11" disc from my car, so I'm sure a lot of you already know how I'm going to proceed. There is no way to fit it on the flywheel
[*other than this, the clutch looks very high quality Centerforce is a quality manufacturer, and I know it is at the forefront of both amateur and pro drag racing It would have been great for circuit racing as well, sadly I never got to use it. The only way I can do it is to spend more The Centerforce units I had purchased had to be returned and I had to obtain some other clutch, I decided on the clutch my Camaro SS came with - It is Stage 1 of the process. I would have given this product 4 stars but it was difficult for me to get a fast take-aways, so I gave it 3 stars A quick shift in the right direction or a quick shift off This clutch is built well and the materials used are more than enough to expect a lot from it as far as I'm concerned. Anyone with an automobile that uses a 12" clutch would be wise to read the following If you need a clutch upgrades and you have a disc disc, the Centerforce brand should at least be considered.
A clutch of this quality holds up well to my 590HP big block, against a 40" bogger. In my last experience with one of these clutches, I broke some of the bolts that held the bell housing in place, so that was what it took. The ride is still smooth, and it actually seems easier on the legs (with the mechanical clutch installed in the truck) than it did with the OEM clutch.
When driving a 4x4, the exhaust overheated quickly and the energy transfer was not efficient.
