This item has the following dimensions The hole spacing on the plate is 4 1/4" apart and 3 1/8", and the plate is 5 3/16" long by 4" wide.
The hole in the plate is 3 1/4"

I found it to be useful in My Ford 5-inch is nothing fancy but it fits over it With a little WD40, speed can be achieved. Screw it down using mounting holds that have been drilled. If I am using rivets, I will use them.
Exactly what I needed for a boot for my 2" steering column at the firewall of my hot rod.
Although I thought it would act like a normal vehicle shift boot, that's not the case. In particular, not so great for an off-road vehicle. A road vehicle can act as a bowl in which water and mud can be collected.
To fix this, I wanted to design a simple rubber boot that fits under the consul and does not interfere with it. By using the sheet metal screws provided with the shift boot, the Spectre 6285 shift boot provided a perfect solution for covering the opening in the The product was a no-brainer solution to my problem, perfect fit to cover the opening, easy to install, and gave me peace of mind about the purchase.
It was not possible for me to use the plate as it was too large for the space I had, but I was able to fit the boot. I think it looks and works just fine, even though it is not OEM.
I wasn't expecting it to be so big but it is well made with good.
I was very pleased with the price and the way the work was done.
I have replaced my old model with this.
