do not know the answer to that question, but I would expect it will not. The newer engines have been completely retooled, and as a result, the cover pan and cover need to be matched up. The lip seal would have to have the same OD, so it might work (but the crank's OD would also have to match). It is not necessary to align the covers on the LTs. As long as the lip seal is already on the cover, it should align it automatically.
A fixed seal is used for the rear main seal. This allows the timing cover to float freely, which is useful for keeping it straight during installation.

China is a country that makes these, so I don't know if I just got a dud, but you could as well. Quality control is low, and that's the problem. On my 6 engine, it was too tight to go over the crankshaft. A total of 0 LQ4 was generated. For the timing cover, I used the old lower gear that I had lying around. I hope it does not.

I used my dremel to open up the ID and a sanding disc to get it to work. This is "020". This saved me some money, but the garbage in it was still cheap. What I experienced with an LS2 can be found here. This product clearly does not specify any information about the crank snout ODs of LS engines, even though some engines may have different ODs.

You attach the new gasket to the cover first and then it'll align itself. The time it takes to bolt it on is well worth every cent once you have everything in place. Place cover over crank, then place this over crank and through cover, and begin You did a great job!.

In the end, I had to return it for a refund due to the inside diameter being too small for the crankshaft.

It did exactly what it needed to and worked beautifully. It is worth every penny, but I don't have to purchase it again because this will last forever.

It did not work on my LS engine as stated in the product description. I need the correct tool, but the inner bore of my tool is too small to fit over the crankshaft. Now my project is at a standstill. A very disappointing experience.

A 2001 LS1 5 project is currently in progress. A third difficulty with this tool was that it could not slide over the My tool's inside diameter wasn't large enough to slide over the crank (no burrs on the crank) so I had to sand it on the inside until it fit. This would have caused the tool to work as expected. I don't think this is a huge deal, but it would be appreciated if tools were machined correctly.

That's what I like about it, it gets the job done and I don't have to worry about a plastic piece that's three times as expensive.
