Although the tool appears to work fine, it only comes with an assortment of two sizes of wrench, I would suggest spending a little more on a kit with five sizes of wrench, a nice box (this one does not have one), and Since all you really require is the pulley holder, you'd save about half the price by ordering just that.

Spending money well is always a good idea. There may be those who view it as an expensive tool they will only use twice (to remove and then me, it wasn't expensive, but having my hands intact and not suffering nasty cuts due to the sharp blades proved to be a worthwhile investment. Various factors could have led to me having to stop work if I had cut my hand with the blades, plus having to pay more to my doctor to finish the job. Furthermore, I completed the job efficiently, without cursing, and quickly. There have been several You Tube videos where people have done all kinds of weird things, and used all of the wrong tools during the fan blade removal process. I honestly didn't find it suitable for me
Be smart, there is a tool for every job, I would recommend using this one, and you will understand

After taking off the (very tight) fan clutch on my 5, I was able to use my hand tool to remove it. It is fairly easy to start a 9L Cummins diesel engine. Water pump pulley restrained by the restrainer tool, thus no slop could be seen between the wrench and the water pump pulley.

There is no mention of the fact that this tool also works on Mercedes-Benz The same is true for Benz engines. This is among the highest-quality OEM tools you can find for a lot less money than the MB factory OEM tools.
