I had a problem with the tailgate switch on my 2009 Subaru Forester. It is the same type of switch as the one in my Forester, except that it is wired for a plug connection, which my 2009 doesn't have. Originally, I had to cut off the plug and splice the connectors Now it's working like a charm.

I had to return the product because it did not fit. There is a mistake in the description of what cars it fits. This is one of 3 products I have ordered from Dorman and all 3 have failed to meet my expectations. The next time I purchase from Dorman, I will not buy from them.
