There's no need for adjustments since I bought a 2008 328i convertible. Ten minutes was all it took for me to install it.

There is no indication that this item is a counterfeit I could find no match for the item's number in any search I did. I was able to replace the part in my BMW quickly if this fits your 328i as it did mine. Then start with the side closest to the trunk medallion by using a plastic wedge or putty knife. Wiggle the push button assembly through the trunk opening after prying that edge open until it releases. There is a pinch-point on the assembly The trunk lock's cable will need to be compressed before it can be removed and plugged into the new trunk lock. Afterward, reinstall the trunk lock. If so, then You must "click" it into place at the front. A try of the lock and handle might be useful A boom in the marketplace It's all done. My experience with your company has been positive.
