Have bought a 1965 Mustang and it's running now. There is, however, some work to be done on that rubber gasket. It was necessary to use a tiny bit of silicone to hold the retaining ring in place while the sender and sender retaining ring were lined up.

I have installed this on my 1965 Mustang and found it to be very simple to install if you have the correct gasket

I used an old gasket instead of the new one, since the one that came with it was ridiculous. However, it was nice that there was a new lock ring included.
