Questions & Answers
I received one from my local supplier, providing me with shims, two starter bolts, and a printout about the performance of the starter.
The answer is yes. Due to hot start issues, I hardwired a Ford-style solenoid for the original starter. I continued to have problems after that, so I bought I found it very useful.
There are two sets of shims included. On my 71 Pontiac Firebird 400, I did not have to use it.
The 350 and 400 are both the same dimensions, so there should be no problem for you working on my 1972 Catalina 350 and fixing the hard starting issue on the 350 after hot temperatures

It is the brand EVERYONE uses to start a vehicle with high torque. In spite of their affordability, they give you a lot more room to work, especially when you are using I have a body car where there is a lot of stuff on the driver's side including Z bar, clutch linkage, battery cable, speedo cable, reverse lights wiring, brake lines and exhaust! It fits well in my Lakewood bellhousing In any case. There were NO shims or bolts included in mine, nor was there an instruction sheet. However, the Amazon box was immaculate, so even though the box from Amazon looked beat up and had holes, it seemed to be the best. The package was clearly damaged before being mailed. Neither the Amazon box nor the box from FedEx had any padding at all. It was obviously dropped from a decent height since its mounting block on one corner was heavily dented. I fixed it with a file, but it was clearly dented A starter who takes a hit like that after being dropped might not even make it to the next game. Today was supposed to be the day for installing and shimming this new cylinder, but I'll have to wait until next week for the new one! Anger is not the only emotion that exists. As I stated, this starter is obviously a defective one that they simply put back together without checking to see if all the parts were in it and made As a result, I'll be a week behind, and I won't be able to make it to the car show this weekend. a lot for taking the time to read this. Update
The replacement came quickly from Amazon, and it was equipped with the proper parts this time. Once I had more space, I set it up without a hitch. I can spin my big block, high compression, flat tappet engine over with ease with this thing! It would have been nice if I had done it sooner. Sooner or later, one of my classics will get one of these!.
The starter is amazing. I can't rave enough about it. I would say it's a little under half the size of the original starter for my 421 tri-jet The power of. It's better to have more room in the headers under the four tubes. I used it in my '65 GTO with its 121 compression ratio and it turned the engine over like I was quite pleased with the quality anodized bolts and they all snapped right in without a hitch. It is an excellent value on Amazon over the two renowned catalog hot rod companies, and one of the better starter kits out there. This is a must-have accessory for those who own a Pontiac muscle car.
Olds engines with high compression are no problem to crank. The size of this pipe prevents headers from being blocked and keeps the exhaust wiring off the exhaust.
No.
It was the perfect way to start my day. I measured and they fit perfectly on my 67 Olds 422 Compared to before, the car starts much faster. The impression I received was outstanding.
Heatsoak on the old starter led to the need for a mini starter. I installed it easily and it worked even with a warmed up car.
It has been reported that the stock starter motor suffers from heat transfer from headers.
This bolt was a breeze to install. The terminal does not have a "R". Although I can't speak for the durability of this little starter, it spins my big block like a champ. I am quiet as well. Installation is simple and fully adjustable to keep headers clear. We are very happy about this. This kit contains two shims, and I needed four to fit my 71 oldsmobile. My OEM had two, so I reused them. For the bypass of ballast resistors on coils, there is no "R" terminal. The easy way this cranks the engine means leaving it disconnected won't be an issue for most applications, considering how easily it cranks the engine. It's easy to pick up a diode with 20A and connect it to the "S" terminal if that's what it is.
